Get directionsFor a true NY style deli experience- west of the Mississippi, it does not get any better than Katz's in the Woodlands. For over 12 years, each time that we travel from Dallas through the Woodlands to the Houston area, we are sure to stop at least once- and probably twice (coming and going) as it simply does not get any better than this. Simply the best ingredients, VERY generous portions prepared and served by knowledgeable and a truly great staff ALWAYS results in a fantastic meal at a reasonable cost. BTW, Katz's is al... read more
Excellent food and service. Loved the bread and the waffles! Attentive service. Food brought quickly but no rush atmosphere. Really enjoyed this restaurant. Will be back. We had: Chicken Parmesan Turkey delicatessen on sourdough Philadelphia Cheesesteak Waffle sandwich French fries - one order was plenty for four Belgian strawberry waffle - dessert was large enough for four people
California prices here in Texas = sinking ship. So I've been eating here since about 2012 and I've experienced their dips in quality of chefs and service, but they always seem to rise back up. I gave them 5 stars because on my last visit, they did everything right (granted that there was only 1 other table occupied at 9pm). The chicken Parmesan and their Matzo ball soup was delicious as always, served with a portion that filled our bellies. The only difference was a new, much higher, California price. $9.99 for a bowl of sou... read more
My first time at Katz. It was a nice place and the service was good. Very clean and not too loud. Only complaint I have is the meat portions. I ordered a large Ruben. They should just call it what it is: a sauerkraut sandwich. There was almost no meat on it. I really wish I had taken a picture; I actually thought they forgot to put it on at first, until I took a bite and saw a few very thin slices. For an $18 sandwich, I expected more.
We (party of 3) came in at noon on a Saturday. The hostess says there will be a15-20 minute wait. There appear to be about 4-5 groups also waiting. There are SEVEN clean empty, tables, and the entire seating area at the bar is empty. Granted, the wait was only about 10 minutes, but this place is losing business with empty tables like that. One of our party was given plastic utensils. The waitress said "we ran out" of silverware. Waitress was very courteous and responsive. Food, as always, is yummy.
First time at this place and our server Kai was amazing! I loved his energy and willingness to serve! He has made us his regular customers!
We've been coming here for many years, usually for breakfast, but also for many lunches. This is my second review. I felt I needed to because of the occasional negative review below. In the dozens of visits, eating both in the restaurant or getting it to go, we have never, never been served poor quality food or in any way been disappointed by either the food or the service. Now with their expanded menu, they have real bacon and beef items on the menu as well. And comparing them to the deli in NYC is ridiculous, unless yo... read more
Classic dinner food but with great quality. Breakfast or lunch is highly recommended. Priced pretty fair for the area but you get your moneys worth. Weekdays are definitely better than weekends when it comes to seating as it is limited.
We used to frequent Katz's in Austin yearrrrrrrs ago, and then they closed. We we're so excited to see this next to our hotel. We were there at about 11:30a on a Sunday, and we sat at the bar with no wait. I got coffee, which was just good 'ole great coffee with quick refills. My husband had a beer from their great selection. They did not have a ton to choose from, but they were all breweries we were not overly familiar with since we're not from the area. I had the bagels and lox, which is one of my favorites! Not only di... read more
