Get directionsI was pretty disappointed in this place. Extremely overpriced for what you get. The pastrami was chewy. Fries were undercooked and bland. Service at the bar was not good.
Took forever for a server, they were all in the back talking, although when our waiter finally came said she was working on to go orders. Came specifically for potato pancakes, they did not have them, a supply issue problem. Was thrown off because I came for potato pancakes and didn't know what to order and since we were short on time I ordered the Nosh basket. So expensive so little food. The sauce they sent was gross. My husband ordered a sandwich and it was good.
Very poorly run restaurant. Food was very good. Waited 1 hour for a 1/2 empty restaurant. Only to be sat at a table that was open the entire time we waited. We were told that the kitchen was backed up yet we saw food coming out w in 10-15 mins. Manager very out of touch w guests.
I've been to the Katz in New York City. I've been to the Carnegie deli in New York City before it closed. This is a poor substitute for such a that kind of restaurant. I ordered the Reuben sandwich it, was huge, a lot of bread, a lot of sauerkraut and a lot of dressing but it was missing one thing, pastrami. The pastrami that was on the sandwich was chopped pastrami not a piece of it any longer than a quarter of an inch. What a shame. I live in the Woodlands area and next time I'm going to drive all the way to the Galle... read more
I came here about 4 yrs ago, and I was disappointed then, but I thought things would change.............NOT My daughter and I came here to get an after movie meal. She order a cup of Matzo Ball soup and cheese crisps (fried cheese curds). I ordered corned beef hash and over easy eggs with rye toast. Our server was great. He answered questions, and took care of his job well. When it came to the food, my daughter liked the fried crisps ok, but said the Matzo Ball soup tasted like broth from a ramen packet. She even showed... read more
Walked in to place a to go order... stood there several minutes and finally a manager looking guy walked up and asked if I had been helped. I replied "No" to which he said "just a minute " and walked off. Never saw him again. Restaurant was not very busy, wait staff was standing and chatting. Finally went out and called the number on the to go sign outside and told them I was there wanting to place an order. i had been waiting 5-10 minutes by this time. Per their request I came back inside and same chatting wait staff took m... read more
The service is slow and not as attentive as other restaurants in the area. The food is decent but for chicken&waffles, a waffle with strawberry and bananas, a sprite, and a side of fries our bill was $45. The plates did not come with sides of hashbrowns or eggs that is sold separately. It is expensive for breakfast compared to house of pies which has better tasting food. It's a good 24 hour option but you might as well drive the extra distance for something better and cheaper.
I was so excited to try this place, the atmosphere was inviting and it has a old time-y fill to it. Needless to say, it was a disappointment. Upon Sitting down, our waitress begrudgingly greeted us and took our order. We ordered cheese curds and onion rings for apps, a side of ranch, monte kristo and the fried chicken sandwich. The cheese curds were definitely the best thing that came out. Everything else was simply, subpar. The manager looked like she didn't care to be there and her appearance showed she had just rolled out... read more
I've had Katz before, this one in the woodlands is just sub par compared to the others. Food quality was really bad. Everything just tasted old and dried out. customer service is pretty lacking I literally pointed on the menu what I wanted and the waiter ended up putting in the wrong thing on the computer which resulted in me being over charged. Only for me to point out that's not what I ordered and him pretty much go well that's what I put in and you got... true it was their night shift but dang really staffing not ev... read more
