Get directionsI have been wanting to come for years and finally decided to stop by. The prices are a bit steep. I wasn't a big fan of my monte cristo. Most places I enjoy it..... but ate half and left the other half unfinished. Our waiter was pleasant up until the end where I accidentally gave her the wrong card. She seemed annoyed it didn't go through so I gave her the right one. She walked away with my card and came back with a new receipt. As if it bothered her that she had to ring me up again. $55 for two adults and one child isn't ou... read more
I hadn't eaten all day, so I was starving. I'd seen the sign on the freeway for Katz's Deli for years, and I'd always wanted to try them, so I pulled in to get a takeout order. I ordered the medium sized (they call it "Klassic") Turkey Pastrami Reuben, and a cheese potato, which is basically fried mashed potatoes with cheese. The sandwich itself comes with a small pickle and a couple of forkfuls of cole slaw. I was pretty caught off guard by the price. Those two items totaled nearly $30. I was on a work trip, so it went on... read more
2nd visit to this location. First was two years ago and very pleasing. Yesterday, well, let's just say, not so much. Right off the bat, we ended up with the most apathetic and disengaged server ever (Yong?). She brought our iced teas (minus any significant ice), turned of her heels, and was gone like it was a drive-by. It turns out this is her style...hardly stopping her walking, not giving a chance for a response, and glaring on by. So the teas had almost no ice and there was no sweetener (nor any other condiment) on the ta... read more
Awful. 80 waiters and empty establishment. Had to wave to get some ketchup bc waiter didn't come around to check if we needed anything. Manager walking around never asked us if we needed anything. And it was empty. Food took forever my bf's sandwich was waiting on the line for for 10 minwhile mine still wasn't out, mine was cold my pastrami was cold, bread not toasted, cheese cold and I went in with a desire to have a melted hot sandwich. So why did mine take longer it didn't even hit the oven? Asked Philip (our waiter) if t... read more
My family has been eating at Katz's since they first opened in Austin decades ago. We went to the Katz's here in the Woodlands. For 4 sandwiches and two appetizers (fried pickles and jalapeño poppers) with soft drinks, our total came out to an astounding $152.00. That's a ridiculous amount to pay at a deli for 4 sandwiches and 2 appetizers. Our sandwiches were even slimmed down, compared to our past orders. Our family decided that was our last trip to Katz's. The sandwiches were decent, but not for that price.
If I can give this place 0 stars, I would. Went in last night with 6 people, so it's understandable to be grated but our server Stacy J never told us about being charged for a 'non-cash fee'. I've never been to any restaurants where they would charge me a non-cash fee. What kind of business is this? Also, our server never gave us our receipt, a friend had to go ask for it. Services was already bad enough with Stacy forgetting things we were requesting, to not checking up on us, just things servers needed to do to make sure t... read more
Went here with a group of 6 after work, and encountered many problems. The food was good but it's not worth the money. Although our waitress was pretty nice and decent at first, she forgot our fries, the condiments we asked for, and did not stop by the table not once after she dropped the food off. Instead we saw her chatting it up with another table for 30 minutes. I would give one star but the other star is for the other servers helping us. TO TOP IT OFF.... we were grated 18% and our server did not give us our receipt (i ... read more
1 Star for our server "S" with the blue hair, she was decent at first, but after dropping off the food, she was off chatting at another table when we were missing items. Luckily, one of her coworkers went out of his way to get the item, to which our meal was already more than half way done. On top of that, 18% grat was added to our tab but she did not mention it once while paying us out through the handheld machine nor did she ever show us the ticket. After leaving, we figured out that we had tipped on top of gratuity that ... read more
I always enjoy the food at Katz's the Ruben Is my favorite. However on this particular time (ordered to go) I think they need to change out their oil. My potato chips tasted kinda rancid.
