Get directionsOur first visit to Katz's did not start well. The hostess first sat us down at a dirty table. She came back with a wet towel to wipe the table but it smelled like it had been pulled from the sewer. Our server Ben walked up and obviously noticed the smell and he recommended we sit at a different table. The food was good and Ben did a great job with the service. Management needs to focus on the cleanliness of their restaurant!
Seating and service was a cluster yesterday. Food was decent, not great. Iced tea was tasteless. Not again
They should be sued for using that Jewish Deli's name..They're more Related to I-Hop or Denny's .. I've been to Katz in Austin for 30 Years..( no liver pâté ) didn't know what it was? I took a group to experience what Katz stood for..not 24 hr pancakes???? Gary..Retired sales rep. Entertaining Clients..
Not impressed by the food quality, taste, or service. The fact that they're open late is a plus for a lot of folks.
From out of town and tried this restaurant because it was not far from our hotel and offered takeout. Ordered curbside pickup which we ended up going in and getting it ourselves because was told it would be out shortly We could see it sitting there on the counter but no one helped us considering the restaurant was not busy at all. I could have overlooked this but the food was absolutely horrible. Ordered 2 turkey dinners which sounded good. Could not believe we paid over 40$ for this crap. The side of a Caesar salad was th... read more
Only reason why it deserves 2 stars... 1 it is open 24 hours which is always a plus. 2 desserts are pretty decent too I ordered the Reuben #2 and I like sauerkraut but this thing was ridiculous. I spooned out the sauerkraut so that I wasn't having a sauerkraut sandwich because I could count the thin slices of corned beef, 4 to be exact. The mound was the size of half the sandwich. I didn't say anything but the manager walked by and asked if everything was okay, I said yes because I didn't want to trouble her, but she sense... read more
Love the staff. Love the atmosphere. USED to love the food--they made salami and eggs like my mom with grilled onions. They had amazing bagels with awesome cream cheese. They had traditional Latkes (potato pancakes). They were a true blue Jewish kosher style NY Deli. Not anymore. Now they are more like a high priced Benagins or Fridays or Chili's. Just another chain that happens to be open 24 hours. That's really the only appeal anymore. The final drop for them from being a truly good restaurant was the cream cheese change. ... read more
So it's St. Patrick's Day and all we wanted was a corned beef sandwich to enjoy during March Madness. Tried to order online but the Woodlands location did not offer that option. (All the others did!) My husband decided to drive to the restaurant and ordered to-go. He waited five minutes, some one told him to have a seat. He waited five more minutes and nobody cared to take my order. Doubt I'll be going back. I'm from NYC and love deli.
When you enter you are greeted and seated immediately. Eventually your server makes their way to your table and takes your order. Food did take a while to make it to our table, but with their extensive menu I figured that would happen. Our server did not come to our table to refill drinks or ask about refilling them, we had to get her attention. Young was her name, she is very disengaged and really doesn't care to take your order. When the food arrived it did arrive hot, however as I was eating I looked on my husbands... read more
