We think that they could have done a better job handling documentation and asking for them in advance instead of the day before our closing and the morning of. There were also lots of documentation they asked for that seemed to be over the top and not along the lines of documentation you would need regarding a home close. We wish they would have been more upfront from the beginning with ALL the documentation they needed

Clay is a super nice guy and easy to talk to. However, I had to follow up multiple times to receive updated paperwork after discussions. We discussed a lower down payment and I never received updated disclosures. When we decided to do the rate lock several months later, our original down payment was still in the system and included in the rate lock. That was extremely frustrating - especially because we are not very experienced at buying homes.

Clay is very personable and made regular contact. However, in the long run, the communication wasn't valuable. And it unfortunately, reflects badly on him that our loan process was very difficult. We didn't receive the wire transfer instructions in a timely manner, the figures changed several times up until the morning of closing and at the last minute there was confusion over my employment.
