I moved to Sunnyvale within the last six months and have been on the hunt for a good breakfast spot. I've driven past Keke's many times and have now eaten here three times, always right when they open. The first two visits were a bit slow, which I initially chalked up to a the opening crew. Unfortunately, my third visit confirmed that this location is simply poorly managed. Today at 9:30 a.m., there were plenty of open tables, but not enough servers scheduled. I should have known better than to only look at Google reviews (as they have a 4.5 rating on Google). My mistake. FOOD: Ordered the "Florida" waffles (with the server suggesting ordering a side of pancakes as it is presumably "award winning"). Also ordered a side of grilled ham steak but thankfully that was forgotten. Brownie points for using all fresh fruit (banana, blueberry, and strawberry) and not adding or resorting to jams and fruit flavored sauces / syrups. Wait times on a Sunday early afternoon - 50 ish minutes. Food was okay. The stuffed French toast is tiny. 4 small triangles stuffed with minimal stuffing. The frensh toast itself is basically the same as a frozen French toast (the ones you got in grade school) stuffed with a small amount of Nutella or cream cheese and put together on the plate. I wanted to like this place so bad but it's just meh. The food is ok. It took awhile to come out even though there wasn't a lot of people in the restaurant. The server only came out when she took our order and brought our order. The menu is very limited.

Had seen the good reviews when the place opened a year ago, but didn't check before trying it for breakfast on this week day. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, modern. There was no wait for a table at 9:45am. The hostess had stepped away and a server acknowledged us til she returned. We were seated but not offered beverages until many minutes later when we had decided on our meals. I want coffee soon after being seated. Really great food but, unfortunately the staff were very immature. As soon as we walked in the host didn't smile once and greeted us with attitude.. We told her a party for 6 and she rolled her eyes and said "wow."

Disappointing. We were in the Sunnyvale area for my husband's work project. Decided to look on Yelp for a breakfast place that was open early. There weren't very many and Keke's was the closest, so we headed there. It was a little hard to find until we actually drove past the restaurant. Like all the other reviews say, service is beyond slow here and obviously you can guess their food is not worth a 1+ hour wait. They also somehow have no idea how a waitlist works. Apparently you have to go up to the desk multiple times to ask to actually get seated. We weren't seated until my husband took a pic of their monitor that had the waitlist on it to see the names and we heard a group 3 names after ours get seated and then joined the crowd huddled by the desk to tell them we'd already been waiting for an hour lmao ... read more
