TLDR: long waits and wack service So I had seen this place advertised on my Instagram and wanted to try it out. My friend and I got there around 12:30pm on a Saturday, p busy and we waited 35-45 min. I'm a long time Keke's customer, as it's phenomenal in Florida and several other states. This location was a far cry from that level of quality in multiple ways. Backstory: We had no idea there was a Keke's in California and were thrilled to see a local listing for it in Sunnyvale on Juneteenth (the live tracker said it was not busy, so we jumped in the car and headed over). I was excited to try this place today. Went in around 11:30am. They weren't very busy so I was immediately sat at a table. For about 10-15 minutes I sat there and watched servers serve everyone else around me. I was never greeted or even acknowledged. A group of 3 non black women came in and was seated 2 tables away from me and were immediately greeted and placed their order. Very nice ambience. I ordered a cheese and egg sandwich. It was terrible with an oversized bread and one thin slice of cheese with an egg for nearly 10 dollars. I cut 1/3 of the bread out. Very dry, just putting two or three slices of cheese and the egg will have been a different story. The service was average. My wife orders waffles with fried chicken, the fried Chicken was very dry, I won't recommend this place.
I never received my order of orange juice when I ordered it with delivery so the staff member should have paid more attention to detail when shipping out delivery. So when ordering delivery from this breakfast store please check your order.
Breakfast place. No hashbrowns. Says Grits on menu, no grits. So you get potatoes one way. Then the toast now many people like plain toast, many people like toast with butter, a lot of people like jelly or jam. your choice here is butter. No options. For the pain to park to the lack of choice i would pass on this one. I certainly wont go back. Servers were friendly but slow which is weird as there was a lot of them and not a lot going on. Just a pass.
Keke's was clean but very underwhelming, understaffed and overpriced for what you get. Service was very slow for a restaurant that wasn't very busy on a Thursday morning. My friend ordered the poached eggs and received his order well after the other 3 of us got our breakfast. Well the poached eggs were more like hard boiled eggs and he sent them back. The new order of poached eggs were equally as overcooked as the original ones. I ordered an omelette and that was not very good either. Very disappointing experience...
I always come here and the food is on point but everytime I get the hashbrowns it's horrible like they just throw me the crappy ends
This new restaurant is very cute and very clean. This was the second visit to this restaurant. First visit was with my daughter. My waffle was good but my daughter ordered a breakfast sandwich and they didn't toast the bread. Today I went there again. I ordered French Toast breakfast. The french toast was thick and soggy and the scrambled eggs they brought me were over cooked and looked burnt. I asked them to please scramble again.
