If you want to dine with rats, this is the perfect place Otherwise avoid at all costs!! Tuesday evening, while we were INSIDE, a large rat ran across the ledge by the tables, in the restaurant, and down some stairs in the corner. Told the staff on hand; none seemed phased, adding insult to injury. No token apology, no offer of some compensation. Enough said. I was unfortunately pretty unimpressed with Kramers when my friends and I came to celebrate a birthday. We had a reservation and were seated immediately, and our waitress was very lovely and attentive. Unfortunately, the quality of the food let us down. I had the gochujang tuna tartare, and the flavors were good, but a lot of the pieces of tuna seemed like they were from a less than ideal cut of the fish - many were very chewy and borderline inedible. Legit do not order drinks from the bar. They legit water them down all the way. Also in general food was ok but overall sounds good on paper but taste bad.

The atmosphere and the food was great! Definitely a great portion of food and it was delicious. However, the wait staff was very rude and disrespectful. Our waiter, after approaching our table for the first time, did not introduce himself or say hi; he just said "drinks?" He never spoke and was very rude when we asked for accommodations on our orders. When we asked to split the check in the end, he sighed and professed his annoyance about having to split the check in the system.

I'm local and I thought I'd deviate from my usual favorite bookstores in the area and take a look in Kramers. Sad to say I found the young staff to be mildly hostile and unfriendly. I don't think they really seem to get the spirit of bookstores. This place is run more strictly than a luxury goods store or something. There are absolutely no seating areas and the staff will scold you in .02 seconds for loitering if they find you leaning on a stool by the register while trying to decide which travel guide to buy for an upcoming... read more

Service was slow and food was of low quality. The salad was not fresh and the avocado toast was mediocre. This used to be a good place with good food, but unfortunately, no more!

I've tried this place a few times over the last 3 years, most recently for brunch a few days ago. I want to like it, but every time we have the same problem. The service here is absolutely terrible, even when they aren't close to full. This last time, our table got a round of drinks and put our orders in, and then we didn't see our waiter for over 30 minutes. I had such high hopes only to be totally disappointed. My partner and I came to try out kramer's for a late afternoon lunch. We asked to be seated outside and we're placed on the patio in a shaded area. We asked to be moved to a sunnier table but we're told we could not be moved because those tables were for 3-4 people. Of course we understand the need for the business... but the hostess proceeded to seat not one, but three other 2 persons parties. Have been here a few times (during the pandemic too) and had the most unappetizing meal ever today. Ordered the Butternut Squash soup (had the consistency and taste of jarred baby food and was cold in some parts) also had the avocado toast- , very "meh"- needed salt or something (only pepper grinders on the table)..
