Kramer's fits into that charming D.C. bookstore vibe set by others of it's kind such as Politics and Pros. I've personally found books here that are perfect as bookshelf/library additions as well as some quirky new reads that I wouldn't normally seek out. Highly recommended!
Best french toast I've ever had!!! Delicious! My hubby had the a burger he said was very good also. Highly recommend checking it out for brunch if in DC.
I visited Washington, DC for a conference and to visit family and friends in February. I had heard about Kramers through a mutual friend. I decided to visit on Saturday but still needed some questions answered . I called and spoke with a manager to get some questions answered before we came in. Now I am a person who asks lots of questions and she (Danesa) was patient and answered everything I asked. I decided to give this place a try and I am so glad I did . When I arrived with my friends I was so impressed how cozy it ... read more
Great food! Got the chicken and waffles with spicy honey butter and they let me sub the coleslaw for potatoes no extra charge. Highly recommend for breakfast/brunch
Outstanding breakfast with fresh and carefully prepared items, welcoming service, and it was followed by a book browse. Reserve in advance.
love this place for brunch, to grab a coffee, or even cocktails in the evening! make sure to browse the bookstore connected to the restaurant while you're waiting for your table or as you drink your coffee
Awesome place to grab food and or coffee and then browse for a new book! I had their avocado toast at the breakfast bar in the bookstore and then picked up a beautiful cocktail recipe book
Kramer's doesn't disappoint. The menu has something for everyone, including nice GF and vegan options. Maybe it's not the cheapest brunch game in town, but you certainly get great value for your money. I also appreciate that the sandwiches weren't drowning in a sea of fries. Serving a plate with fewer fries is a sign of confidence and competence. These folks know what they're doing and it shows in their food and service. The soup bowl was a little shallow, so it lost some heat on the way to the table, but the cheesesteak was... read more
I stopped by Kramers when I was in the area a week or so ago, and I really love the concept - bookstore/diner. I love bookstores, so a bookstore where you can get a coffee or a meal? Kind of my dream. However, I didn't realize just how small the actual bookstore portion of Kramers is. If I lived in DC, I'd definitely order books from them (because they're not very large and don't have a ton of books in stock) or browse for things, but it's not large enough to have everything you need without ordering. Despite what some other... read more
