Pretty interesting place- a combination of bookstore, sit down restaurant and bar area. Had drinks there but the food look pretty good too. It is a bit noisy with people come and go so not the best of places if you want quiet.
Love this place!!! Every time i'm in town from Miami, i stop by!! So cozy so cute!! Great place to eat alone, with family, book buddies
Everything here was DELICIOUS and it was so cute to be able to look around the bookstore while waiting for our food, not that waitstaff kept us waiting long. The vibes in here post dupont chirstmas market were everything and it didn't hurt that they were right next door to keep us out of the cold. Loved it here so much:)
Was excited to go here to get a new book and try some food. I was told it was 35 minutes for a table. No problem even though there were several open tables. Finally got a table and it took forever to get a server. After sitting down for some time I left without ordering anything. I will not return.

Hello Lauren, this is disappointing to see. Please contact us at info@kramers.com so we can discuss and get better.
I love the Kramers environment, any place I can get a good meal, a good drink, AND a book is a 10/10 in my book. I've brought many locals and out of towners here and everyone always speaks very highly of it. I've been at varying times of days and the staff always has a spot for me or there's minimal wait. While the staff is attentive, I appreciate that they leave me and my friends to gab or for me to read my book.Definitely a DC classic. PS. Please bring back the campfire martini this winter.
When we arrived, we were promptly greeted by a staff member. It was a bit of a wait so we just checked out the bookstore until we were called (convenient)! This was my first time eating at Kramers, but not my first time at the book store. I LOVE the bookstore. We were a small group! We were quickly waited on. Since it was so cold, I ordered the tea pot with early grey tea, almond milk, and vanilla syrup. Wonderful! However, they forgot to bring out the tea pot for another person in our party. I ordered the salad that comes w... read more

Brunch here is dream! Love their steak with eggs and their french toast is heaven. Came here with friend on my recent trip to DC and will defo come back! You get your table pretty fast. Service is good!
I really enjoyed their food! Very delicious and portion was filling! It's a great place to get brunch and read on a rainy day. The ambiance was nice and toasty. The servers were always attentive. The only confusion I had was with sitting myself because servers did not guide us. However, a cute staple in D.C. that I recommend anyone to go!
Food poisoning twice! Can lightning strike twice? Apparently yes. First time I visited, ordered green salad. I became ill afterward but wasn't sure why. Second visit this week, I got the hummus bowl. I ended up throwing up at the restaurant! A friend I was with also felt ill. Super strange! Since this has now happened twice I feel compelled to share this experience.
