Delicious. Chicken had a spicy sauce, really good. Went really well with the coleslaw. The waffle was crispy and soft delicious.
I love Kramers bar, i go every Sunday. Just to have amazing conversations with the bartender Thomas, amazing guy. You can't get better service then Kramer's.
We popped in here for lunch. My husband frequented this place back when he was in college, and it's a chic little restaurant in the back of a bookstore. I was a little leery at first due to the long wait and small indoor space - particularly with two kids in tow (it didn't seem family friendly to me at a first glance) but I'm pleased to report my first impression was completely wrong. Kramer's is one of my favorite places to visit in DC. Always find great books and a great meal in the cafe.
Great independent bookstore in the heart of DuPont Circle. Had to limit myself to only buying 2 books since I had to fit them in my carry on to travel back home!
Can get busy so keep that in mind! Food was solid. Have ordered online from here before and they forgot about my order or gave it to someone else by accident so had to wait a bit long, but it was super busy then.
KramerBooks is a wonderful bookstore with a good selection and a fun place to browse for something new to read. We need more independent bookstores like this. I really want to like their restaurant - the concept of a cafe inside a bookstore is a good one - but they fall short on execution. This weekend I had a lobster roll which had too much celery and Mayo and not enough lobster; as a New englander I have high standards on lobster rolls and this was at best a 4 out of 10. Nothing much to be said about the DC staple bookstore/coffee shop that hasn't been said before. Fantastic service, excellent menu, great place!
I finally was able to make it to Kramer's and had a lovely time in the bookstore. The staff was very friendly and helpful when I asked questions about books they had in stock. The store was pretty packed at the time I went, but I was still able to take my time and navigate all the books I wanted to find. After book shopping, we stopped in the back of the store at the all day cafe and ate their chai tea panna cotta, and chocolate cake desserts.
