I have been trying to get into reading more, but when it comes to me with books, I really need to justify buying that book and keeping it forever. Bookstores intimidate me, and I just don't know how to act when I am in one. I feel like I am in more of a library than a place to purchase books. If you know me, you know I love my books. So when I knew we were planning a DC trip, I had to research the most famous book shops in the city. Upon searching Google and, of course, Yelp, I came across this book shop. The reviews made me excited and I couldn't wait to visit. Delicious food and coffee! However the service was rough, we had to go to the hostess many times to get the things we needed. Wish the service matched the food and vibe! The bookstore vibe was such a fun atmosphere in the middle of DC!

My sister-in-law was raving about this place and said the chicken and waffles were the best here. I already had this dish the other day, so I opted for the smoked pork hash. Hubby got the Cubano and she got the chicken and waffles. I also got a pot of tea! Others got cram of crab soup, eggs and potato, and a chili dog. Food and service was wonderful! It's easy to mess up poached eggs but they did a wonderful job and the breakfast potatoes had a little kick to them which I appreciated! Service was great and very attentive. The one downside was the smell of the place was a little overwhelming and not in a good way. But overall a great place for food!

I stopped for Happy hour and notice that it was also a bookstore, barbershop too. The service was great in the restaurant side but when I got to the bookstore and the staff wasn't as pleasant. But I was able to get two books and I will be back for food and more happy hour. I did purchase food for a guy outside and the guy who was helping me ensured that the guy would get his burger and fries.

Super cute bookshop and cafe. I got the pork hash and it was great. The atmosphere was the best part. It's rare that you get to eat in bookstore! It seemed to be a popular spot for locals which is always a good sign. Definitely recommend trying this place out.

Kramers is half book store, half restaurant & bar. If you want to relax at a bar that will give you the best Irish coffee while you cozy up to a new book, then this is the place! The food is good, but I would recommend not coming on a Sunday. Sundays are overcrowded and super busy so you won't get the best experience. I love this place!

I saw this place on tik Tok as recommended for books and drinks this place did not disappoint. The food was delicious. Plenty of drinks to choose from. I loved the Romance section of the book area. They had Colleen Hoover books and Tessa Bailey. I didn't see Frieda McFadden books. They should get her in store. Next time I will walk around more. The place was busy so a little congested.
