My wife and I had our first date here so we were so excited when they agreed to let us have our wedding reception here! It's crazy to think this was the only second time hosting an event. Everything went off according to plan. The service was fantastic, the food and drinks were all amazing. Everybody had a fantastic time. I've been visiting this establishment since the late '90s and look forward to many more happy returns.
Kramers is a D.C. institution that's been around for decades. Heck, I remember browsing the shelves of Kramers as a teenager. Eventually, I became a fan of this bookstore as an adult. But, after a recent visit, I left feeling a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong, Kramers still has an awesome selection of books. You can find a book on just about any subject...fiction, nonfiction, religion, racism, travel...you name it! You can also snag some last minute gifts...socks, mugs, and bookmarks, just to name a few. Can't leav... read more
Spent a while perusing their extensive book selections before enjoying a delicious breakfast to go! Enjoyed the "Kramer's breakfast" which consisted of house made O'Brien potatoes, 4 hearty slices of bacon, toast & two over easy eggs. I felt $15 wasn't too bad for a full breakfast and it was so delicious! I ordered thru Toast.com which was easy! Order was ready in 5-7 minutes and when I picked it up, the staff were so nice and accommodating.
came here for brunch on a sunday with an old friend and loved it! the bookstore/cafe vibes are great and cozy. i ordered the buttermilk waffles with seasonal fruit (blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries this time) and a lavender latte with oat milk. both were delicious and super filling. the only reason it's not five stars is because it's a little expensive for what it is, but still a really nice treat!
Delicious. Chicken had a spicy sauce, really good. Went really well with the coleslaw. The waffle was crispy and soft delicious.
I love Kramers bar, i go every Sunday. Just to have amazing conversations with the bartender Thomas, amazing guy. You can't get better service then Kramer's.
We popped in here for lunch. My husband frequented this place back when he was in college, and it's a chic little restaurant in the back of a bookstore. I was a little leery at first due to the long wait and small indoor space - particularly with two kids in tow (it didn't seem family friendly to me at a first glance) but I'm pleased to report my first impression was completely wrong. A friendly hostess seated us outside immediately as there was no wait. It was warm outside but there was a nice breeze and the umbrellas pr... read more
Kramer's is one of my favorite places to visit in DC. Always find great books and a great meal in the cafe.
Great independent bookstore in the heart of DuPont Circle. Had to limit myself to only buying 2 books since I had to fit them in my carry on to travel back home!
