Abit of a gong show Pros: Clean, convenient, and staff taking me to airport were prompt and friendly. They did cut the rate by 50% for the fire alarm issue. Cons: Maintenance in room, and really, 2nd time having to evacuate the hotel in a week due to a non functioning sprinkler system ? How does that happen? Fire alarm after I was sleeping-evacuated building for 1 1/4 hours, no staff to tell us why for 30+ minutes (sprinkler wasn't working). Needed to get up at 5:30 for flight so not amused. Stayed three days on business. Rooms were not cleaned, hotel was under construction which is fine, but the noises, smells and traffic in and out of the hotel was excessive. The hotel staff was not helpful or professional. The pool was not clean either, the same trash floated in it for 3 days. I would not stay in a LaQuinta again.... ever!
Never again There were dogs barking through the night. Had to get up at 6 in the morning. No sleep!
Disappointing Pros: After 4 days, I am still trying to figure out what I could find redeeming in this stay; so, I don't feel like I just threw away good money. No luck. Cons: Everything. I would recommend retraining the first people one sees when arriving and the last one seen when leaving. Location: Close to the Orlando airport. Exhausted and in pain. Pros: My grandchildren enjoyed the pool area. Cons: Have shuttle service go longer. Lower your drapes to window sill level. Night desk persons attitude. Thicker icebags Although my daughter(who lives in dunnellon-my actual destination), was able to check in early and she and my grandchildren got to enjoy the pool and spa, I was not. Place that you don't want to stay Hotel was very run down corporate needs to wake-up. The staff was very nice and helpful, but the room was a disappointment the bathtub had mold in it.
Location: The location was very close to the airport The room was ok. A chair broke while I was sitting in it. The shower was missing a piece on the handle and was hard to turn on and off. The wifi in the room was nonexistent. You had to go to the end of of the hall or to the lobby to get connected on my iPhone. The bed was nice and the room was clean.
Do reservations mean anything?? Pros: Close to airport Cons: Honor the reservation! Location: Airport and decent restaurants nearby We had a PREPAID reservation made several months in advance for a non-smoking, 2 queen bed room. Arrived at 730pm and checked in. While checking in the clerk disappeared to the back to check with the manager; came back and gave us the room keys. Hotel was close to the airport for one nite stay Pros: It was close to the airport and we catching another flight the next morning. Cons: Information on the facilities available, there were no resturants in the hotel only a continental breakfast self serve in the morning. Location: N/A to this visit.
