As resort restaurants go La Strada is top notch. Attentive yet not overbearing service, good classic menu preparations in a cozy atmosphere that would be the envy of many a restaurant anywhere. Definitely a top notch Reno restaurant that I would recommend to anyone.

We were originally checked in under the wrong name which apparently was rectified. Seated towards the back of the restaurant and waited 15 minutes for water. Given 5 minutes later bread was placed down on the table, no butter or oil, apparently you have to ask for it . At 20 minutes after arrival, our server finally showed up, seemingly rushed without an apology. Service was a little frenetic. The salads and desserts were good, pasta was mediocre at best. We won’t return

Business response:

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We're pleased to hear you enjoyed the salads and desserts. Your feedback is invaluable to us.

I did not enjoy the food. I ordered the veal piccata. It was bland, lacked everything, sauce was boring. Veal had no flavor. The spinach side was good and the breafmd baket was good. The service was slow.

Business response:

Thank you for your honesty, Paula. We regret the veal piccata disappointed. We're glad the spinach and bread basket were enjoyable.

Chicken parmigiana came out completely burnt, as in black burnt edges and was extremely dry. We ended up sending it back. The manager visited the table nd t to us asking how everything was - then skipped us. Figures. Won't go back and do not recommend!

Business response:

We are truly sorry to hear about your experience, Antoinette. The burnt food and being overlooked by the manager are completely unacceptable, and we sincerely apologize for the disappointment you encountered during your visit. Receiving a Chicken Parmigiana that came out black burnt on the edges and extremely dry is not the standard we hold ourselves to, and we completely understand why you had to send it back. Furthermore, having the manager visit nearby tables while skipping yours is equally unacceptable, and we deeply reg... read more

Beautiful restaurant, attentive staff but the food was terrible. Should have sent back my fettuccine Alfredo. It was gummy and dry like it sat out with big flat hunks of chicken thrown on top of it. Salad was good flavor but maybe 4 croutons on a large Caesar. My husbands clam chowder was mostly all broth hard to find a clam or a potato and his lamb he said was just ok. Vegetables had a weird taste. Very disappointing for our 48th anniversary dinner . We had eaten there years earlier and loved it so much! Won’t be back!

Business response:

We apologize for the disappointing experience you had at La Strada. Your feedback has been noted. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Our reservation was for 6:15pm. We checked in at host desk early. The hosts were 2 girls and a guy. We were finally seated at 6:40. We were told our table was being made up. When we were seated there was no less than a dozen empty tables made up with no one around. We were very patient waiting to be seated but the hosts were arrogant and rude. The waiter and bus girl were very nice and tried hard. We were seated in an area that was obviously the former buffet area. Not an Italian restaurant ambiance. Probably will not retur... read more

Here is an important update to my initial July 12, 2026 review. While dining at Silver Legacy’s Ramsay’s Kitchen a couple of days later, we mentioned our disappointment about El Dorado’s La Strada to the waitress. Before our meal arrived, an executive over The Row’s food service came to our table. He already knew about the complaint, because said he reads all reviews. He said he then talked to the La Strada staff. He said he apologized for our experience, that the lasagna recipe has not changed, and that it had been right i... read more

Business response:

We sincerely apologize for falling short of your expectations, Dorothy. We are truly sorry to hear that your experience with the lasagna, salmon, and kale vegetable did not meet the standards you had come to love and expect from us. We completely understand how disappointing it must have been to notice changes in the lasagna, from the noodles to the beef, as well as the concerns with the salmon not being fully cooked and the slimy texture of the kale. These are issues that we take very seriously, and we regret that your dini... read more
