The overall treatment was ambiguous at best. I couldn’t tell you what the main outcome was the staff intended to be for me on “check out” because it definitely didn’t parallel MY best interest. There were times I did not feel safe because of patients, worse when I felt unsafe around staff. The staff was very nice and accommodating. It was difficult to meet with your counselor is our case managers. I only sought the doctor one time. And the psychologist seem to ask very inappropriate questions. The stuff that runs the floors and the nurses and business office were very nice. The BHT‘s were very young and a lot of them unprofessional. Two of the men there thought they were very powerful and overuse their leader ship position. Great staff, dirty rooms, group meetings in disarray & unorganized.
This facility did not have all the amenities that it listed on the website. No horse back riding, no yoga. Strengths: The staff and therapists. Weakness: They need more options that are listed above.
Very unclear on what the recovery program actually is. Also most of the staff is highly unprofessional and didn't feel comfortable sharing in group. Myself and many others felt less then the staff and had poor communication with case managers. Overall I'm glad I went but this treatment hospital needs to get new better employees who care about recovery.
Therapy top gun. Unfortunately they were reorganizing program. In 7 days had to move rooms 4 times. They did not have staff to clean rooms. Opened dresser drawer. Full of tin cans old food. Others had dirty sheets. No oraganization of new times of meal or class times or where the location of of class may be. One of the therapist walked down hallway saying: "THIS IS TOTAL CHAOS"... This is a terrible treatment facility. They keep you locked up like you’re a criminal and expect you to be able to stay sober when you come out. There is a absolutely nothing to do except sit around and watch cable tv or smoke cigarettes. The case manager tries to take power over his clients like he’s any better than we are. He is the scum of the Earth and does not deserve to be helping patients recover. The counselor tells you that you either recover or you’re a psychopathic criminal. I came in with an opiate addiction and a lot of looming reasons as to how my life had transpired right before my eyes until I was someone that I was not. In addition to getting less than sufficient (to put it lightly) therapy, I left with a stronger addiction than the one I came in with. There was a clear line drawn in the sand from BHT’s to patients which- as someone who manages 20- something year olds by the dozens- was more petty and highly unprofessional.
