The only reasons I cannot give more stars are these: Been here 20 years or so. But two things have changed which really bum me out. 1. They changed their hours to later morning hours which means I cannot make my cash deposits anymore. BECAUSE 2. They do not allow anything larger than a 50 dollar bill to be deposited in ATM machines. We did change our early morning hours that were specific to our Bixby walk-up window. We eliminated the walk-up window and needed to align our hours with all of our other branches. The reason for this change was to put more of a focus on Member service. If I could give this place no stars I would. Customer service is basically void. If you decide to stand in the line long enough to wait. How do you have a line full of people and your tellers are walking around slowly like they have nothing to do. Or you have tellers doing nothing. This is completely ridiculous.

Avoid this credit union at all costs. They almost always have long lines and the staff is in no rush to keep the line moving. Even the manager will walk away from the window when the line has 25 people in it. Horrible service!!

Horrible service. I applied for a personal student loan online. Get an email to go visit one of my local branches, to finish the loan and get details.. I walk in was helped by this blonde girl that had no knowledge whatsoever. She said they were trying to contact me that I was denied, no one ever called or emailed me. I drove very far and they never attempted to call. She was very unprofessional and didn't seem interested when my mom wanted to put the loan under her name. She seemed like she hated her job, no thanks.

This has got to be the slowest credit union bank EVER!...probably worse than B of A. I used to go to the location on 10th st and loved it, super fast service and polite. I recently moved and this branch is closer, every time I go there is only two or if I'm lucky three tellers. Seems like the longer the line the fewer tellers there are. I mentioned this to 10th st location and said they always get complaints about this spot. They keep saying they are hiring more staff but that was months ago...I think this is just an excuse ... read more

This branch sucks. I started using a credit union instead of a big bank because i was under the impression customer service would be different, better. The people here have no clue what customer service means. On a friday at noon they should have all tellers open. Obviously people are trying to deposit checks on their lunch break before the weekend. Instead there are 3 tellers inside, no tellers outside. At least 20 people waiting in line. When one man asked a lady at a desk she said the outside teller was open. It wasn't. ... read more

Our Bixby Knolls branch is undergoing roof repairs (reason for our walkup window being closed) and we are in the process of hiring additional staff for the branch. No customers restroom, what the hell??? Who does have a restroom for customers these days...bad all bad, I've been a customer here for over 20 years.. not good people, not good at all!

This bank is by far the slowest branch in Long beach! There are it seems to be always three people here with their windows closed and a long line.. I spend 1hour lunch visiting this bank and i work 5 minutes away including traffic lights
I have been doing business with lbs since they are the credit union for Cal State Long Beach alumni. After two loans and two accounts I have to say I do not recommend them. Their interest rates are just too high and they only cater to people with excellent credit. They are not interested in doing business with small business owners. There are other credit unions that will treat customers much better.
