Great experience! Easier than expected.......
My first loan application was cancelled by the mac team, saying i requested it. I did not, and had to start process over. The second time around everything was great.
There was a bit of confusion on our closing at two stages. 1) The MAC team contacted us in a bit of a rush stating that we were at jeopardy of losing our refi because they were unable to contact us. we were never out of contact, so not sure what they had happening on their side. 2) There was confusion with the notary. She indicated that she needed proof that the closing payments had been processed. The problem with that, we were given the final costs at 6pm EST on Friday so that was impossible
Penny Mac was prompt informative truthful and everything that they shared with me through the whole process. I would highly recommend them. My loan processor LiemWas always very prompt in talking to me and responding to me and contacted me whenever he needed to

Five stars. Got exactly what I needed for my refinance, and it was very easy.
The entire process was very quick, and communications from the team were clear and detailed so I felt I understood the whole process from beginning to end.
Our initial closing papers showed property taxes coming out. We were never told this would happen since we do not escrow. Closing had to be postponed until the following week. Other than that, communication was good with Liem. He was very prompt at calling us back. No issues with Liem at all. He was a pleasure to work with! He even followed up after closing with us to let us know the loan was funded.
All of my expectations were met from any questions to any requests I had. I even recommended to a family member and friend who are now in the process of refinancing via PennyMac.
