We used Pennymac in the past and were big fans!! This experience was awful though. Communication process was terrible. Liem was the fastest to respond to us, but was the third loan processor we had been assigned so we were always confused on who to talk to. Also - when it came time for the closing disclosure, we found multiple errors and kept asking for corrections. We ended up being the one helping Liem balance the CD correctly, which didn't give us much confidence.

The process was easy enough to follow. I was very happy to do the closing at my residence. The agent kept me informed and promptly return phone calls and emails. Four stars.

Documents I provided were requested for again. Sometimes my emails went unanswered and I needed to email again. The processing agent did call and email me with status updates which was good. Some of the final closing costs were rolled into the principal which I had asked to not happen but I didn’t want to delay closing so I just accepted it.
