Not only did I have an absolutely appalling experience with a representative from the company who couldn't have been more unkind, the business itself functions under false pretenses. They provide no fee information until you book an appointment which makes no sense because then they can charge you an amount they choose without letting you know. This is the worst mental health clinic, ever. Like many other clients, I had major issues with billing. I was left with the impression (from the receptionist and my dr) that my insurance was taken and it wasn't. I was charged $800 for treatment. I found out after 3 sessions, and this is because I called the clinic. WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG. There should be NO WAY a clinic should be operating like this. OH, PSYCHBC. I believe they may have changed their name to Lifestance Health because of the downfall of the brand. I'm not sure if my Nurse Practitioner didn't care about me, or if the company had shaped her to behave this way. After years of putting it off, I finally scheduled a psychiatry appointment to get back on medication for ADD. Billed for several appointments that I never made. Impossible to get prescription refills. Permanent refills expire. Very difficult billing department to reach. Enjoyed seeing my ANP, but everything else was pretty terrible.
My son and I are thinking about leaving psychbc . Hold times are at least 40 minutes- you cannot reach anyone. You cannot connect with a human. No one contacts you back. My psychologist referred me to a Psychiatrist at the same place for ********************* then the Psychiatrist said I need to meet with someone to tell me I have ADHD. The one person that I guess does it in the office is booked the whole year. Stay away. Your calls will not be answered for the most part, and they certainly will not be returned if you happen to find one of their voicemail boxes that isn't already full. They do everything they can to make the entire process of a simple follow-up appointment impossible, and then try to charge you over $100 because you couldn't get a hold of them. Find somewhere else to provide services.
Dangerous mind altering drugs are supposed to be prescribed and dispensed within the utmost medical standards according to the medical boards. Did not warn me of the potency nor lethality of the Antidepressant and SSRI pills.Many of these SSRI's and antidepressants have been altogether outlawed in other countries for good reason. They cause the vast majority of mass shootings and fill prisons and cause akithesia, suicides and homicidal ideation and actions. Terrible follow up. Can't talk to a live person to schedule...have to use an online forum to schedule then they just cancel with no explanation or follow up to make a new one. This is a counseling/psychiatric facility....how i that good for ptient mental health
Avoid! Fraudulent billing and rude/ appalling customer service. The management of this company is unprofessional and the communication is non-existent. PCPA have displayed that they could care less about someone's mental health given their treatment of patients during a pandemic. They will charge you for cancelled sessions and refuse to give an explanation or any consideration for extenuating circumstances. They seriously only care about collecting money.
