Other than a couple of weather related delays the experience was surprisingly uneventful, which is exactly the experience most homeowners hope for. Ramiro managed the project and he and his team did great work. Mike gave us our bid and kept in constant contact with us before, during and after the project. It was an absolute pleasure working with Ramiro and Mike and I'll definitely call Lifetime next time I have work done.
I left a message that I had a problem with my skylight. Gino called back within a couple of hours. After I described the problem, he said that it was not a job that his company usually did. He gave me the name and number of another contractor. I haven't called that person yet. I appreciated the quick call back and the referral. If I had work that Gino's company did, I would call him for an estimate.
<br /> The job took longer than expected due to weather condition during winter time. I learned next time not to plan this type of project in fall \ winter season. Our home was built in 1977, and 34 years later, the siding and windows (see our comments under 'siding') were definitely showing signs of aging. After interviewing prospective contractors, we happily chose Lifetime Remodeling Systems. From the initial meeting with Ralph Streano, we were impressed by his knowledge and efforts to keep our wishes and desires close to our stated budget. Completed in one day and did an excellent job.
However due to my neighborhood the work has not yet begun just yet. It was a difficult choice out of the companies that provided estimates. They came out, gave their speech and looked at what I needed done and provided the estimate. He was very talkative and friendly.
