WORST VET IN AUSTIN!!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. VERY GREEDY. imo I have been to many vet clinics in my years as a pet owner, all over the united states. This is by far the worst I have ever experienced. Do yourself and your pet a favor and go anywhere else.

Unfortunately after six years, I've elected to take my senior dog somewhere else. Kind of like when you are sick, you need to see someone...same with your animal. The past three times I've needed to get her in, it's been a minimum of a week wait. The doctors and techs have been very kind and caring, but one of them (no mention of names) did try to convince me that my 12 year old lab is a good candidate for teeth cleaning when she was only at a stage 2 out of 5. A veterinarian practice is more than just good, compassionate, technical care and I'm sure all the doctors here, based on the reviews, would fulfill that expectation. I've had to make a switch due to a move, and my regular, treasured vet (Dr. Smith at TX Cat Hospital) is more than 40 miles away. Unfortunately Love Pet Hospital fails on other fronts. I was extremely disappointed with how my dog was handled. They were suppose to biopsy a spot on my dog and instead without speaking with me butchered the back of her legs. I picked her up thinking she would have a little stitch were they took off a spot, instead the entire back of her hind legs were stapled so poorly and so tight. It took her months to heal. We had taken our pets to Love Pet Hospital for a while, and we were happy with it. Then, my dog had a lump in her cheek, which concerned us. Dr. Love thought it needed to be removed. After surgery, which cost $1200, Dr. Love explained on the phone that the surgery was difficult, and she had charged me too little money for it. Are you kidding me? The experience: got us an appointment for the same week, nice and clean facility, a bit of a wait in the room, with a tv playing a fish tank scene. Dr. Huckabee was very nice, and gentle at handling scared, wiggly cats. In case you are shopping around for a price comparison, here is a detail of our bill. I researched this place here on yelp... And this was the first time yelp was 100% WRONG. If I take away stars I would. So I made the appointment one afternoon for my cat to be seen and they were too busy and full to see her that day or at the weekend. So I was given an appointment at 3 on a Monday. When I walked in there they had no appointment for my cat but agreed to see her quickly anyway. They took my cat into the back and the team of vets could not weigh my cat or check her out.
