They were absolutely WONDERFUL. I saw Dr. Wisbrock and he was so kind and gentle and made my very, very distressed cat much more at ease. He answered all my questions, didn't seem to be rushing at all, and just generally made me feel extremely comfortable. The vet techs were also incredible, as were the receptionists. Just for reference on cost, it cost me $156 for the appointment, a blood test, stool sample, two vaccines, and a nail clipping for my cat, which I don't think is too bad. I will absolutely be going back fo... read more
I can only say WOW! My 6 year old pit bull Meesie hurt her back playing ball. Our regular vet does not do chiropractic on dogs, but our poor dog was in agony. I went online and looked for vets. that do chiropractic. Dr. Tracy Davenport DVM read the X-Rays that we had done at our regular vet and noticed a slipped disc near the base of her tail. She recommended acupuncture for her first visit. I was skeptical, because I felt that she really needed chiropractic. Dr. Davenport explained how the treatment would work for her and p... read more
Okay yelpers, I tried. I tried really hard to get an appointment with Dr. Love and it just didn't happen. They wouldn't do it. But, as Fate is kind and LPH hired good people, my dog and I saw the wonderful Dr. Huckabee. She treated my dog with kindness, compassion and professionalism. She also told me my dog was at her max acceptable weight. Oh well. Some days you get the chicken. Some days you get the nuggets. The techs were very good. They poked and prodded as per their job descriptions but did so with what I can only d... read more
It's no wonder why they get five stars. The receptionist/intake lady was so sweet and genuinely seemed to think my dog was the cutest thing she had ever seen. The Vet tech was awesome, very friendly to both me and my dog, and DR. Wisbrock was amazing. He answered the long list of questions I had as a new dog owner. Gave me behavioral advice and some resources to go to if I had more questions. He also taught me how to drain my dogs anal glands, which wasnt the most pleasant experience or smell, but I think he wanted me to kno... read more
So apparently cats can get acne. My bratty little girl had some red bumps on her chinny chin chin that were disturbing me (I thought she had some horrible infection), so I turned to yelp to find veterinary help. The staff here is excellent, very friendly and understanding. Understanding that an already bratty cat plus a car ride and being in a crate equals a very angry cat. They reassured me that she was not nearly as bad as some of their patients and gave us options and a price breakdown on how to fix her blemishes. Th... read more
My dog a diagnosed with an untreatable bladder tumor in which my normal vet just gave us the wrong anti-inflammatory and said there was nothing else they could do. In the past, I used LPH for my other dog with back problems so I figured I'd give them a shot. They treated my dog as a living patient with HOPE, not as just another statistic. Dr. Davenport sat down on the floor during each session with my dog to make her feel comfortable and loved. We tried everything from herbal supplements to a form of light photographic t... read more
The nice people at Love Pet Hospital saved the day for my basett hound Lily. Recently she had a very severe bout of diarrhea, resulting in a panicky 3 am message to the vet. Even though the office was completely booked the next day, they worked Lily into the schedule, ran tests, determined the problem, and treated her. I am a helicopter dog mommy, so I called them several times throughout the day to check on her. My husband was kind of scared of how high the bill would be, but for all the tests they did (and they kept L... read more
Have to say I heart Dr. Davenport and vet tech Lucy. Her acupuncture has done wonders for my schnoodle who suffers from pancreatitis. She had parvo as a puppy and it has wreaked havoc on her poor system so she has little bouts of pancreatitis every now and then. I take all my dogs to Dr. Boggs at Griffith because that's where they've always gone, but for the homeopathic stuff this is where I go. Chloe my schnoodle is quite smart and when she has a bout she lays in the tub or jumps in there to puke. It would break my hear... read more
While I'm gonna stand by my 5-star rating, beware that though the general tech staff, Dr. Love (of course!) and Dr. Davenport are top notch, some of the other veterinarians here come off as your run-of-the-mill, antibiotic and steroid dosing, hyper-reactive heart$tring-puller$ that you'd find at any other pet "doctor." (I know from experience this is true for at least one of the veterinary staff, and have heard the same from a close friend--who will now ONLY see Dr. Love--about some of the others). Make a point to see DR. L... read more
