I love this place. It was recommended to me by the friendly people at Rivers and Reefs. Love Hospital is one of the best animal doctor offices I have been too. I have two cats that I take there one that is 25lbs and the other that has purple penis syndrome. What I like most is that the people who work with them(my cats) treat them like they are their own pets.

After dealing with Banfield for far too long I finally quit playing around and took my dog to a non-HMO vet. They listened to me, did relevant tests, were wonderful with my dog and were resolved to help me get to the bottom of my doggy's itchy, peely skin. And the customer service could not be better. For example, I left work late today was in danger of not making their 6 pm closing time. They told me they did do overnight care and if I didn't make it, it'd be a $24 charge. After being told that a few other places were completely booked or closed for spring break, I read the one review about this place and decided to take my doggie there for an emergency visit since he was was vomiting, had diarrhea, and wasn't eating. They told me to bring him in right away and they would see me. The secretary was very friendly and nice, as well as the other vet techs working there. This is my favorite vet in Austin for the wonders that the vet, Carolyn Love, has worked on animals over the years. But, as a review, I will write about a tale of my favorite spoiled cat, Thistle. My husband and I are very upset and disappointed with the service and the staff here. We heard very good reviews about this vet hospital but after today we are in shock at how we were treated. First of all, the receptionist did not enter in the computer system that my 6 month old kitten already had her rabies vaccine! It was right there in her file folder, and you can actually feel it in her thin folder because it's a protruding medal tag! So today, mistakenly, they gave my kitten another rabies vaccine! Initially, I praised Shanti's compassionate (?) doctor on this site, then only five days after seeing her last, my cat passed away unexpectedly:( ?!!!!Worst day of my life. The doctor never reached out, though she was there in the office at the time? And another doctor took over completely? Just a warning to not use their App Anipanion. It schedule an appointment for me, and kept me waiting up to an hour promising the vet was going to responded soon. I finally called and was informed that I could not use that service because I had not been in the system before. And was also told the vet I was to see was in surgery all day anyways. So I'm sure they're good vets, but I wasted an entire morning trying to get help for my dog due to their bad application. No one seemed to be very apologetic over the phone, only ... read more

I am not one to post reviews, but I felt this was important to inform others. I have been going to this vet for over 15 years. I have noticed that over time their prices have gotten higher and higher. It has been a concern, but because so many of the staff there are amazing, I have continued to go. I took my two dogs there today for their annual appointments. They both saw Dr. Vance. My husband brought our first dog, and I brought our second later in the morning. Do not go to Dr. Vance. My dog was throwing up, so I took her here because I moved down south recently. My husband initially came with my dog and sort of blindly did what they suggested. When I got there we were already charged over $500. When I asked Dr. Vance questions she seemed annoyed and didn't take the time to listen to me.
