Consistently Great food and service. The selections of food and drinks are sublime. Lots of locally and localish sourced ingredients, and even labeled where they come from. All of the Vegetarian, Vegan, and Gluten Free options are clearly marked, and they have dedicated prep and cook space for Gluten Free, and are always careful about allergens. I got my lunch from this joint for the second time in barely a week because I liked the crispy fish and chowder so much, but the overcooked, mostly-batter "fish" with a modicum of slaw and the absence of tartare sauce the second time would make me hesitate to order from them again. Maggie McFly's is one of my go to places for casual dining when going out with a mixed crowd for dinner because there are so many options and they are accommodating to vegans and gluten free diners. Out of all the restaurants at Crossgates Mall, Maggie McFly's never fails to disappoint with its food and drinks. Honestly, I've made it my mission to try everything on their menu, as there has not been a single thing that has failed to disappoint. They have an abundant amount of choices with good outdoor and indoor seating. Place is either slammed or dead and no matter which the food always takes FOREVER. The menu is huge and they have so many items to pick from. The food is okay, basic chain style frozen, premade items. But nothing is over the top because they don't "specialize" in any one or even just a few items. They'd benefit from losing a page or two of the menu. The place is also nicely updated, but everything is always a mess and disheveled. It never feels like it's really all put together.

The place wasn't half full and there seemed to be a bunch of staff on hand but service was kind of choppy. The restaurant itself seemed clean and decor was solid. The fried mozzarella was pretty good. I had a lamb gyro which I'd give a 7/10. Would be willing to give this spot one more go.

And I was exceptionally pleased that they had at least 2 West Coast ipas on tap, it didn't just cater of the trendiness of New England IPAs thank you. Not bad for a regional chain! I find the service can be spotty, sometimes a bit slow on the drinks but food always comes quick. The beer selection is great - tons of taps and a good local selection. The food is average and on par with other chain restaurants. I know they use local ingredients but nothing is really stand out. They have a lot of seating at the bar and throughout the restaurant.
