I think that they had my initial reservation for 2 instead of 4. We were cramped to a very small table that is almost too small for two people. There really wasn't enough room on the table!! Service was better last year. She was young and seemed not very experienced but that is not too bad.
Great food and atmosphere, good prices for what you get. Only negative was that waitress made it seem like salad was included when it cost extra, but it was open to interpretation.
Their Caesar Salad was not good. Very bitter tasting. Pizza and pasta was great.
Another great meal and experience at Mangiamo! We typically eat in the bar area for a more informal experience. Last night we really enjoyed the dining room, our wonderful server and our meal overall.
Food is amazing, especially the fish dishes! Risotto was creamy and delicious. Service was quite slow, our waitress always disappear when we need her. Exhausting wine list, however, they were quite overpriced. A bottle of Chianti Nippozanno only cost $25 in the store and they are selling it for $50. The champagne list was not impressive at all, they were all cheap bubblies. Though, overall, it was a great experience for our anniversary.
The service was the best I've ever received and the food was absolutely fantastic. We barely had to wait at all! The gelato was spectacular as well. The music played by the live accordion player added to the scene, making it even more enjoyable.
We enjoyed the food very much, but our waitress was not good. She was slow to take our order (about 25 minutes after being seated) and was not very friendly. She seemed overwhelmed. We definitely hope to come back another time and perhaps have better service.
It was my second time going to Mangiamo's and the first time I remember thinking it was really cool because the inside has a neat look to it. However, that's really the only thing worth seeing, the food is okay but not nearly as good as some of the other restaurants in GR for the same price. I think it's a cool place to check out once...but I don't know how many more times I'll go back.
Excellent fun place to bring friends new to the area. Atmoshere is neat and impressive. Verg goo service.
