So far building a house with Meritage has been a nightmare, agents and representatives are less than willing to even make the slightest effort to make customers happy. Their “no I can’t” attitude is the worst, the switch and bait practice is mind shattering and the “we have your earnest money so we don’t care” mindset I just plain sad. Truly regret moving forward with this builder.

I like that they walked me through each step provided me with multiple options for financing were available to answer my questions and were very helpful with the home orientation
Your Canyon Falls sales manager was rude and disrespectful to my real estate agent! We will not be recommending Meritage homes to ANYONE!

Thought that Meritage was more of a custom builder when we first decided to go with your company. When we asked about upgrades, pot filler, hi-low island and the ability to mix and match between the design selections we were told that you were not a custom home builder and there would be no options available. We will have a 8' shower in our master bedroom and it was a struggle to get approval to have a second shower head put in our shower on the opposite end, finally approved $1500 later. My home buying experience with Meritage Homes was a very pleasant and professional process. All the Sales staff I came in contact with were knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. We hope to enjoy our new home and neighborhood for years to come.

initial experience was ok. After reviewing other sites my views of meritage homes changed dramatically. reviews of other owners read like a horror movie. sorry.

Bunch of Crooks, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for someone to build your home. Meritage built my home with moldy lumber, then refused to properly treat it to prevent health issues for my children. When I finally had enough and decided to move on, they refused to refund my earnest money. Now I am out $5,000, and I have no place for my family to live.
