The Builders are very money hungry having received price increase out of no where, you would think 100% profit would be enough. Not only that but we were told Meritage no longer Honors the Homes for Heroes/Hometown Heroes incentive anymore.

I just purchased a Meritage Home in Stuart. The development is called Sunset. I must tell you that Daniella Sternberg was (is) my representative. She is amazing. From the day I purchased thru and up to closing she has been in touch with me with pictures and information regarding the building of the house. Every time I called and I called a great deal she sawed my question professionally and always got back to me. Worst experience ever nobody should ever buy a home from Meritage Homes they won't give you a refund and they're not honest

Don’t know about the corporate office but the Austin Texas office has very odd opinions of what quality construction is. I have a 8 month old house that has a progressively faulty roof that has large dips in it that is the wood decking warping. Warranty manager did measurements and says the dips fall within Meritage’s tolerance s so therefore they will not fix the problem. If I could post a pic On this review it would speak for itself. Terrible experience. We were pre qualified with another lender, they forced us to qualify with theirs before going under contract. Their lender, MTH Mortgage, screwed up oour first application, had to re-disclose a new loan, fired their broker, then couldn't get us approved. In the mean time, our previous approval timed out and their actions dropped my score out of qualifying for a conventional loan. Then they gave us unrealistic deadlines to recover and cancelled our contract and refused to give us our deposit back. Th... read more
