My wife was staying in the area on business and had eaten here the night before. I decided to surprise her by showing up with our kids. She really recommended this place so we went. Everyone's meal was fantastic but mine wasn't the best. They had recently changed their menu, and I unfortunately got an older menu. I ordered the pan roasted sea scallops and I got sea scallop pinwheels (sea scallops wrapped around crab meat). It was good but it came with a perfumed rice which I don't care for. Food and service was excellent. However the noise level was extreme difficulty hearing your partner across the table or even next to you.
First time at Metropolitan and it was great. Good location and very different menu. Four of us each had different entrees and they were all great. I recommend the calamari appetizer and the home made seasonal ravioli special. We had a drink at the bar area before and it was festive and busy considering it was 530pm. Make a reservation. The larger group private dining area upstairs looks really nice too do will likely take a larger group there before the holidays.
We had a great time and incredible food. The service was excellent and it was a great place to bring a date!
As always a great meal with friendly accommodating service. Wonderful cocktails, great shrimp and calamari app and a nice prime steak! Great night with the family.

Lots of good places in freehold but metro has been our favorite for the longest time now . They always have something going on to make you wanna come back

Great place but parking is a nightmare in Freehold.
