Never had a bad meal here. We love going! Great for a date night, as well as going out with friends.
We ate outside on a lovely summer evening. The food was very good. The special gnocchi appetizer was a huge portion. I always love their butter!
From the hostess to the waitress, the busboy & the manager were all friendly, helpful and accommodating. I was one of three couples that went to Metropolitan Cafe because the food is good & we wanted to sit outside to hear Mission Dance play across the street at Freehold Hall of Records Summer concert series. Nice downtown brunch spot (liquor licence so can enjoy a cocktail if wished). Good selection. Attentive service. Not jammed like a diner. Would go back.
We had a great early dinner at metro. Our appetizers, salads and burgers and sandwiches were excellent. I would recommend this location for that type of food. however, the pasta was over cooked and overpriced. This is not an Italian restaurant so I really should have know not to order that type of dish. We will be back again to eat one of their many appetizers, salads and sandwiches.

Sunday brunch with teen daughter - she was impressed, as was I. Good options - from pancakes to crab cake Benedict - or sushi from lunch menu. Advantage of liquor licence - could enjoy a glass of Bucks Fizz with breakfast! Yum. Will return.
