We've been going to Metropolitan Cafe for years. The food has been consistently very good with a menu that continues to evolve. Excellent place to go out with friends and have a drink.
Went to the MC for brunch, outdoor dining, delicious crab cakes benedict! Friendly service provided by Victoria, very good. Have also been there for happy hour and lunch. Definitely recommend this for an enjoyable time out.
Having been here many times before (originally from Freehold), I knew what to expect. Metro has been solid over the years and is still very good. They have updated the menu over the years, so it always stays fresh and inventive. Food and service are both very good. The ambiance is different, depending on where you sit. Upstairs is a bit more reserved, good for groups. Downstairs by the bar area and sushi bar is a bit more energetic. Have yet to be disappointed by Metro over the years.
Brought my significant other here for lunch on his birthday. We were seated on the second level and it was quiet. Food and drinks were great. He definitely enjoyed himself. We will return for sure!!
Definitely one of the better spots in Downtown Freehold. Always an enjoyable meal.
