Owner The printer's speed on printing is terrible..it prints a page and there is a 15 second delay between printing l other pages This is extremely terrible for my business. I was impressed with Bothers laser printing but not with this one. The delay also occurs when faxing. If there is a better way the get better results I would like to.hear it.
Scanner sucks I have talked to Brother, Staples (where I bought the all in one printer, Apple, my internet service company and Geek Squad. No one can get the scanner to work properly. We have deleted and reloaded the software 12 times. The scanner will work after that but as soon as any part of the system, the printer, the computer, the wifi is turned off, the scanner will not reconnect to the computer. This makes no sense because the printer will connect. I believe there is a defect in this model.
Piece of Junk and Oversized Paperweight Junk machine that has to be turned off and then turned back on to work. Customer Support is useless and provides no solutions and continues to insist on following their useless directions that don't work. If the Revolutionary War patriots had to rely on Brother Customer Support our national anthem would still be "God, Save the Queen".
Printer Problems I purchased the Brother MFC-J5830DW Dec, 21, 2016. Since that time I have contacted Brother about four times regarding the issue of the printer not staying connected to my network. I had another Brother printer for 6 years not one problem, however, I wanted an airprint printer. Manual feed tray does not work Trying to print Quicken wallet style checks which worked perfectly with my previous Brother's manual fees will not work with this printer. Customer Service response was to buy new checks. Very very disappointing. Very poor support help.
Duplex printing but not copying fro ADF It seems that buried in the specifications it is listed that this machine doesn't do duplex copying but will do duplex printing. I purchased my machine in a physical store. I read the features on the box and talked to the sales person who assured me that it was capable of duplex copying. Slow to start printing I guess I should have read the reviews before buying this printer. I have always been satisfied with Brother printers, but this machine isn't very good. It takes a long time to print the first page and I'm not able to easily change from one tray to another. I have tried several suggested fixes and still haven't resolved the speed issue.
Slow, Unclear, Slow like snail I Regret that I bought this product. It prints very slow.......It irritates me to no end to stand there and wait. The print quality does not measure up to my standards. WORST BROTHER PRODUCT EVER I am SO disappointed in this particular model! I have purchased and been satisfied with many Brother products in the past but this one is a poorly designed machine. It jams sometimes as many as 5 times per day. I just called support and after demonstrating that it repeatedtly jams for no apparent reason, they are going to replace with it another SAME model printer.
