We spent two days trying to update the GPS...without success. We took the Crosstrek into service and asked to have the update done. We were told your service department could not perform the update. We were also told that our problem trying to update the GPS is not unique. That same weekend I updated our Garmin GPS in about 15 minutes. Any suggestions?
Oil change nearly became seized engine - tech did not tighten oil pan drain plug enough and it came loose and fell out while driving on the highway... with 2 kids in the car. I also asked for help with my headlights which, when the originals were replaced, haven't been bright enough for night-time driving. I was told it's likely due to discoloration of the covers, but I don't buy that because I noticed the difference immediately when the bulbs were changed out. All service members were very cordial and helpful. I brought my 2020 Subaru in because the heater was blowing cold air. They discovered the radiator had no coolant and filled it with coolant which solved the immediate problem for $250. The underlying problem wasn't looked into. Why was the radiator out of coolant in the first place? I ended up taking it to a local independent mechanic who checked the entire cooling system for leaks and discovered that the radiator cap gasket was leaking. Problem solved for only $160.
