Staff and doctors are good, BUT, if you need a same day appointment for a sick animal, its nearly impossible. A couple months ago I tried to get my dog Charlie in for her ears and they couldn't see her. This past weekend my dog Ruby was extremely ill and they couldn't see her. Luckily, I found another vet who not only saw her, but diagnosed her emergency condition, and referred us to VSH for a scope. Ruby may have died had I waited to get in with Midland. I think all vets should have room for same-day appointments for animal... read more

Our family pets have been coming here for over 30years and have a history of great care. Over the past five years I have seen a steady decline in the level of service and competency in their Veterinary staff. As of today and waiting nearly an hour after my appointment time I will be looking into other vet facilities in the area.

Worst vet service! Vet mill service. Too many vets and techs. Expensive, everytime you go in, even for checkup they charge you. Wraped my dogs leg and developed open sore from improper wraping. Made excuses instead of apologizing. Ive lived close to dntwn and there are great vets around. These people dont have vet options, too bad. So youve been warned!

I had take my pooches to Midland for years. The front staff is friendly. However the vet care is sad My pug was diagnosed with dry eye without any tests, just based on breed. The vet determined she had arthritis by feel, not by X-ray. Midland also said there was nothing they could do to help her arthritis. Turns out after a second opinion she does not have dry eyes at all and her arthritis is very severe. The new vet did X-rays and found arthritis in her neck, back, hips and both elbows. My new vet was able to get her on ... read more

Time to change vets!!!! I called to get my dog in for a semi urgent problem (which required immediate attention and sedation for a procedure) The receptionist was rude and said they would try to fit him in but didn't know how long we would have to wait and when I explained he was in pain and breathing hard she lacked both empathy and kindness. I was told maybe they could work him but my office visit would be up charged. Seriously? This place used to be great but after 14 years I'm tired of never seeing the same vet twice,... read more

I had been going to Midland for 7 years with my loyal dog without issues, but only for essentially "well-visits". They surely know how to do the routine. My dog unfortunately got hit by a car and had to spend an overnight at an Animal Hospital. Except for stitches on his face, he was out the next day with no internal bleeding evident. I decided I would go to Midland to have them remove the stitches as well as have a look at his back leg, which was obviously causing him a bit of pain even 8 days later (the hospital took n... read more

Very bummed to have to write this. My Maltese has been going to midland for 9 years. For the past 2 years she has had on and off ear infections that would not heal. She would be put on antibiotics and a week after finishing the meds she would be miserable all over again. Not only was her ear messed up, she would also have skin problems. Same thing. Changed her diet, nothing different... Infection would just continue in her ear. Not once did they offer to take a culture from her ear. Frustrated, I went to another vet.... read more

We recently moved to SD and heard about them from my incredibly caring dog walker. I was mostly happy the staff are caring and the facility is super clean! Two weeks ago my dog past away from what they thought it was pneumonia... The doc was super caring but when I look back I think if she had put some facts together my guy was with me today.... My dog had breathing issues due to his smashed face and infrequent seizures otherwise he was very healthy. I voiced my concern several times but yet the doc took the safest root givi... read more

We have been taking our pets to Midland for over 5 years and have sent multiple friends and family there as well. At first, we were very happy, the staff was nice, vets were excellent and the prices were fair. Unfortunately, over the last year or so things have gone downhill and we have had multiple bad experiences. The vets are still good but the prices have become ridiculous and the front desk staff very rude. Most recently, we were charged for a service we did not request and charged an unreasonable fee for it. When quest... read more
