I called to see about getting a heart worm test for my dog and during that phone conversation the receptionist didn't tell me over the phone that the annual exam was due. Just the heart-worm test was 92 dollars. When paying for the heart worm test I asked in-person at the desk when his annual exam was due; the receptionist said it was due "now." I then asked why they hadn't told me that information when I called, and she replied that it was because my "text messages options was turned off." I gave her a second chance at co... read more
They tried to get me to sign off on allowing multiple teeth extractions during routine dental exam to the tune of $1000 - $3000. Pretty sketch. Avoid.
I recently called Midland to inquire about the cost of neutering my dog. They asked how much he weighed, and I told them 70lbs. They came back with a quote of 920.00!!! WOW! I called another local Vet and they quoted me 230.00! When Dr. Switzer and Dr. Augustine owned the clinic they were wonderful. Now that they have been bought out by a "corporation" their prices have skyrocketed.
In June, Brianna Campbell euthanized my beloved dog. She was aloof and all business about the process and lacked compassion. I don't recommend this vet to put your pet to sleep. It was a heartbreaking decision and horrible experience for me. I expected better care and more compassion from this vet but that was apparently missing.
What a disappointment. Prices are getting outrageous. Anal gland express for 42.00 and exam for 81.00 and they look at teeth and spine! And the staff are just not friendly. What a terrible experience I will not be returning Sorry Midland you have to step it up and care if your going to charge outrageous prices Care for your clients as well as your pets!

I've been going to Midland for over 20 years. How surprising to be told that my dogs pain medication which was supposed to have been reordered (1 year supply) after blood tests inn September, were not refilled for the following year. When I discovered this, attempting to refill with only four pills remaining, the pharmacy told me they hadn't renewed. I emailed two days in a row, receiving no response, then called third day (1 left). I was told that the prescription would not be refilled until I brought my dog in for an e... read more

We stopped coming here in 2016 due to how expensive they are and office staff being so rude they had no compassion. Today I reached out to them needing help for my fur-baby and the woman who answered the phone had no compassion for my fear of what is going on with my dog. I asked her twice if she could squeeze my dog in. That I'm really worried about my dog. And twice all she said was I have Monday at 2:30. I'm a big believer in second chances. But obviously nothing has changed. At least as far as the front office. Will not ... read more
My family has gone to Midland for over 10 years, since we moved to Poway. When I got my own dog last year I figured it was the place to go. However, I was disappointed from the start, and continued to be disappointed over my 4 visits (vaccines, neuter, 2 ear infections). Once you get back to see a vet, the doctors and technicians are wonderful. However, you have to wait at least 30 minutes (usually more like 45-75 mins) in a dirty waiting area with terrible front desk employees. By dirty, I mean there is always tons of fur a... read more
I'd like to start by saying, I have been coming here since this vet clinic was a tiny box office with a motorhome in the back. I have referred several family and friends over the years, but this week was my last straw. The fact that they make you wait a minimum of 45-65 minutes past your appointment time proves that they are consistently overbooked and their greed has taken priority over caring for pets. Over the past few visits, I have felt a pressure that I never previously felt. Insisting prescription food and refusing ... read more
