Poor service. Took elderly dog in for standard shots ( about $300) and week later his arthritis acted up. I called for some kind of dog aspirin prescription and was told we had to bring in again? Too many charges for simple things. Lost another customer, I will listen to people at dog park next time.

We are done with this clinic. They used to be good, but they've gone downhill the last year. The front desk staff is rude! They make accusations that aren't true. Now they are charging for nonsense and try to up sell the entire visit. They also charge an annual fee every visit and state that annual doesn't really mean annual! I can't wait until Pet Coach opens and takes away from these Vet clinics that constantly up sell and try to guilt you into unnecessary services. Your dog doesn't need teeth cleaning! It's a dog! My dog had eye surgery at the VCA Eye Clinic in Kearny Mesa. A week after her surgery I was running out of her Eye ointment. The Eye Clinic called Midland to order the Vetropolycin so I wouldn't have to drive 15 miles to the Eye Clinic to get more. When I arrived at Midland, they wanted $40+ for the same ointment the Eye Clinic charged me $22 for. The ointment costs about $12 from pet pharmacies. Thanks for cutting me a break Midland (NOT). Talk about taking advantage...

Don't be new to the area and have a sick animal ....they are booking in to next week for new clients so too bad your cat is ill....thanks for the help (NO HELP)

I have been taking my 2 cats and 2 dogs to Midland Animal Clinic for over 5 years. First visit they correctly diagnosed my just adopted dog's ehrlichia that the previous vet missed for 2 weeks. Unfortunately, over the years, the care and focus on pet's health has changed (so have the vets, which is a clear indication of something wrong). I recently came in with my two dogs to get a new prescription for heartworm medication. I told the vet tech that I would be buying on line and asked if they could send the prescription when the on line vendor requested it. He said it wasn't a problem. WRONG! After placing my order and receiving an email from the vendor that the vet was non-responsive to two attempts, I called in to see what was going on. first off I have NOT been to this vet. Unfortunately, the below reviews dont ring true for me. I called to schedule a neuter for my 5month kitten. I have another appt at another vet closer to home but something about the vet didnt ring comfortable. I am extremely hesitant with vets. I do not believe in vaccines and most vets have proven clueless to me when it comes to the to this issue- - . Staff and doctors are good, BUT, if you need a same day appointment for a sick animal, its nearly impossible. A couple months ago I tried to get my dog Charlie in for her ears and they couldn't see her. This past weekend my dog Ruby was extremely ill and they couldn't see her. Luckily, I found another vet who not only saw her, but diagnosed her emergency condition, and referred us to VSH for a scope. Ruby may have died had I waited to get in with Midland. Our family pets have been coming here for over 30years and have a history of great care. Over the past five years I have seen a steady decline in the level of service and competency in their Veterinary staff. As of today and waiting nearly an hour after my appointment time I will be looking into other vet facilities in the area.
