Zero Stars if I could. This is NOT a review of the veterinarian but rather of the clinic and the front end staff. I had an appointment at 11:30 for my cat. Because of COVID they ask that you stay in your car and call to check in. Very reasonable. What is not reasonable is that they took the phone off the hook. I stayed in my car for 5 minutes diligently trying to call to check in. After not being able to get anywhere I went into the building and the "receptionist" said that I needed to go back into my car to call to check in... read more

We've been bringing our pets here for years. I'm not sure what has changed but I am so upset and disappointed. Not only can you never get continuity of care, but the office staff is just unhelpful. This business is not handling COVID well. We had to wait almost an hour past our appointment in our car out front for routine vaccinations and we asked that my daughter (With mask) be allowed to use the restroom (she's 10) because she couldn't wait anymore. I had a horrible experience with this clinic via my mother. They take advantage of their clients. My moms dog was desperate for a dental. Being a widow, and life changes this was a scary thing for her that she needed help deciding. Not only did they guilt shame her continuously but they made a comment about "hoping she wins the lottery so she could get her dental done" (mind you my mom is a responsible dog owner. Please for the love of pets, do not bring your animals here! The staff is nothing but a bunch of bullies and their main concern is guilting you. There are a number of reputable, compassionate and reasonable vets in the Poway area. Go to one of them instead and save yourself the hassle. I should say this has never been my normal vet, I recently found myself here by happenstance but I will never be back. They were awful. I left this clinic a while back. They are just meh. Not the most personable front office and always a loooong wait. Judgmental and at least 1 tech was rude when we decided not to take the vet/clinic recommendations. Much happier at our new place.

Underwhelming experience today. First time visit. Waited over 40 minutes after my scheduled appt time. Attendant took my puppies to the back to see the doctor (I asked to join, but was told they would come get me), brought my puppies back after about 20 minutes. Never met the Vet, never welcomed as a new client, never asked if I had any questions. Although the staff seems nice, they are just too busy to deliver good care and service. I wont be going back.

We were here for an 11:30am appointment and were called in at 12:50. I usually wait 30-40 minutes on average (which is already ridiculous) but today it was the last straw for me.

I used to take my cat here, my mom took our other 3 animals there. The veterinarians are knowledgeable and nice for the most part. I called this morning because my cat was acting funny, took a few tries to get through, which it's first thing in the morning so I understand it's busy. On the 3rd attempt I get through and explain to that my cat was acting funny and I'm not sure if i should bring her in today or if it can wait until tomorrow. Owner of 4 dogs. We have been with this clinic for over 5 years and we are DONE. Always received mediocre care but the place seemed clean and nearby. Lately, the staff has become rude. 2 calls pleading with them to get one of my pets in suffering from fleas and literally scratching himself to death. They showed no concern, no sympathy and simply said "We are booked for the next 3 weeks". I asked "What am I supposed to do? Find a new vet?" The answer was "Yeah, I guess so." Wow.
