This place is normally fantastic, but one of the providers they have now is absolutely horrific. I could hear the provider being incredibly rude to an elderly man through the wall, and then she was the same way to me during our time together. Ruta Martaviciute acted like coming in for a minor illness was a MASSIVE inconvenience to her, even though that is the point of urgent care. I wouldn't waste my time going here. They're disorganized and don't actually seem interested in rendering effective care. When I went there today there weren't many patients, yet I waited for over 30 minutes to be seen. No one came so I left without seeing a physician. Now I'm waiting to just schedule to see my PCP. Waste of a trip.

I am a physician and want to convey my deep disappointment at the care I received at MEC River Forest as a patient. I had an adverse event in July at this clinic that was not handled in a professional way. I came in with gastroenteritis and wound up with an air embolism from peripheral IV fluids and was sent emergently to the local emergency department by ambulance. I came into visit the clinic with my son. Visit went well and appreciate the care. However, I have been asking their billing department AND their front office to email me copies of itemized bills since our visit in January. We are NOW INTO MARCH. I recognize that you are busy, but taking over a month to send an email is unreasonable . I have called every week to followup and I should not have to do this. Horrible customer service and followup.

Just to follow up, I contacted them via the link the business owner provided and asked to be called, and got no response. Also, my daughter's desk mate at school caught strep from her, which would have been 100% preventable if we had received notification of the positive test result when it was ready. And her desk mate then passed it to her little brother. Great contribution to community health from Midwest Express!

I was put on hold twice for over 10mins and forgotten, it wasn't until I finally was able to get through to an operator that I heard from someone. Understandable that clinics get busy but don't forget about patients that you put on hold on the phone waiting to talk to staff.

I came in on a Friday with a shoulder injury That was causing me a fair amount of pain and and had an x-ray. My provider Mallory Norton said she would call me with the results and the course of care on Saturday. I waited until about 1 in the afternoon and then I called the Clinic and left a message for her. pro: 1. front desk was friendly. cons: 1. ever go into a place and it feels dirty? yep this place, hope you don't need to use the patient bathroom. 2. the nurse(?) just getting her job done, pretty clear being cordial was not part of her job. 3. I came in for a Covid Test, which I paid out of pocket for.. and now I have received a bill from collections for $280 and has never recereceived an itemized bill.
