Stay away from this clinic if you value your wallet, your health, and your sanity. As I write this review, I realize it might sound exaggerated, but I can assure you it's not. This experience was the most frustrating, uncomfortable, and shocking of my life. I visited the Midwest Express clinic for a painful back injury. I took my husband to this clinic and i can tell you its waist of time and money. it cost us over 800$ and the nurse/ doctor i don't even know what to call her did not do her job. my husband was working on the car at home on May 25, 2015 and his finger got stuck so it got swished and it ripped open. We went to Midwest Express Clinic that was only place that was open besides the hospitals. she cleaned it supposedly and put medical glue instead of stitches (we asked for stitches, because the job that he works). next day my husb... read more

Visited here for the first time last week... Initially the staff was okay. The nurse practitioner was fine as well. Was able to get antibiotics for the minor issue and was cleared to go home. Very quick service! The nurse wanted to schedule a follow up appointment with me the following week to make sure everything was okay .. So i go in today the staff tells me, I have to pay another co payment for this visit as well! Took the boyfriend here after he complained that his throat hurt. I had just been diagnosed with strep a few days prior, so we were sure that's what it was. The facility was nice and clean, and no one was there so we got in quick. He saw a nurse practitioner, who seemed pretty smart. I had a sliver in my thumb that had become infected. After a long wait, the nurse practitioner, sitting on the other side of the room, prescribed antibiotic pills and ointment. What I needed was to have the sliver cut out, which I did myself after I got home. Never going back.

The receptionist is anything but informed. I went there 5 months back and I asked about the cost. She said it's $100. I asked would it be cheaper to pay cash or go through insurance. She said it's usually the same price. I'm now looking at a bill for $180, after my insurance picked up some of the tab. The only reason this place gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the doctor. He was professional and fixed me up.

After my daughter cut her head with a 1 inch gash, I brought her into this clinic. The first visit was fine. Nurse practioner came in and clipped, stapled the wound. No problems. The second visit, we walk in and the receptionist sat there on the phone without even bothering to acknowledge us. Sat down and waited for another person to come to the desk. I recently was in town visiting family and within two days of being stung by a wasp the arm has swollen and become quite red, so I went to Midwest Express which was nearby. I was the only patient in the place on a Thursday afternoon and was seen quickly. Went to this location during lunch since it was close to work. The staff was unprofessional and the center was not equipped with even the basic medical equipment. I was diagnosed and prescribed medicine. After $40.00 for the meds, 2 more days of no relief and I actually got worse, I went to my normal medical facility. To my surprise, I was told that I was misdiagnosed, did not need the medicine and all I had was a simple ailment that was handled in 10 minutes.
