Honesty and professionalism are much appreciated when it comes to selling your largest and sometimes your most prized asset- your home. After living in Cape Coral for only a year and a half my family was recruited back to SC for yet another career opportunity. We live on the West side of burnt store rd in NW Cape Coral (as we were told a highly desirable area). We originally listed with our agent that got us our house here in Cape Coral originally, but unfortunately that just was not a good fit and after almost 6 weeks of trying to sell our house we pulled it off the market and broke ties. After doing some research for an agent/broker that better suited what our expectations were I read some reviews on Mr. Lombardo and gave his team a call. I was honest with him and told him we were thinking about re-listing but had an offer at $490,000 (free of commission fees) from another agent (whom we knew very well), but wanted to know if we were making the right decision and if our supposed $550000 (4BR, 2Bath, with a pool- 2560 square feet) was really worth that. Mike literally set up a time with me the next morning and after running some comps and analysis advised me to take the deal! He was transparent about the change in the market and what he would list my house at (530,000) and hoped to get at highest. Instead of taking my money (from commission and closing fees) and listing my house he was HONEST! What a true gem we found in connecting with Mike who took his personal and professional time to only tell us to take the deal because it would be smart and was what he thought was best for us in this declining market . He did not even charge us a penny even though he should have in my opinion. He even told us to call him if we had questions or concerns regarding our agents offer and if anything did not work out he would love to assist us in listing/selling our house. Our first agent did not even come to our house! They sent their team but Mike makes it personal and has a personal approach to his listings to do what is right by his clients as it relates to the current housing market along with realistic expectations.
