First of all, my mom loves the residents and staff she comes in contact with at Atria. But upper management could do a much better job of rectifying problems that should be very easy to fix. My mom has lived in Atria since [date removed]. She was not given keys to her mailbox. She requested her mailbox keys several times from the front desk personnel and each time was told they would submit a request for her keys. We were impressed with the physical facility on our tour. It is a beautiful facility, however, there is something to be desired from the management and some staff. Once Mom was moved in, we realized that certain services promised were not being performed until I begged. Excuses of short staffing, people on vacation, staff turn-over were given. I just visited my mom at Atria for the first time since she moved in. I am so happy she chose Atria. Atria is so appealing, clean, safe, and welcoming. My mom's studio apartment is perfect. It's clean, has everything she needs, and very comfortable. It's even nicer than she described (which was very nice). She enjoys her choices for meals. Everyone (staff and residents) are so friendly and helpful. They have several nice outings and activities. I would be happy moving into Atria myself.

My Mother lived happily in the Memory Care unit at Altria Vista del Rio for three and 1/2 years. She arrived from Chicago and was wrlcomed by sraff and residencys alike. In her previous residence she had felt overwhelmed. In her new lovely rooms with varied activities she regained her confidence. At 94 she was encouraged by the wonderful art therapist to try painting and amazed herself and her family by creating beautiful paintings. My mother has lived at Atria Vista del Rio for the past 2.5 years. She lives in the memory care unit (Life Guidance). She actively participates in bingo games, art classes, discussions of current events, chair exercise, and Friday happy hours with music. She blossomed while living there, following my dad's death. She became the person the staff looked to to help lead residents in group discussions or exercise and a good listener to those who wanted to talk. The food is good and the staff are very capable. [names removed] were great and informative and genuinely engage with the residents. Beautiful grounds, rooms have an open plan, plenty of storage. No rooms available in memory care at this point.
