Are you still looking for a gym that feels like they mean business? This place is definitely it. Before I joined, I was constantly told that the membership rates were too high. Finally, I went in and actually got a price quote myself. Considering that I came from a crossfit box paying $120+ a month in membership, I expected a rate fairly similar. Let's dispel that myth right now...for an individual membership -- you pay LESS than $45 a month and you have access to all locations, all classes, anytime! Walking in, you'll notic... read more

Been thinking about switching gyms.. really wanted to try Mountainside. I was impressed when I first walked in. Kids play room looks neat and I knew the little ones would love it. From what I could see the facility looked beautiful. Wait time to talk to a sales rep was ridiculous. I ended up walking out after waiting a long time then finding out there was someone in front of me just as angry. Did not sign up. Went to another gym.

Business response:

Tasha- This is incredibly concerning. We try really hard to give great Member Service and we would love the chance to give you the tour you deserve. Can you please email us at marketing@mountainsidefitness.com? We will get you a free introductory pass and schedule some time for a tour if you are still interested.

Love the gym and what they have to offer...however trying to find a treadmill that actually works or has a tv that works is next to impossible. Today the magic number was 5. I had to try 5 different treadmills before I found one that worked. Very disappointing and frustrating when you pay what you pay for this gym. Love the childcare they have but I'm here to work out and when you don't have the equipment working it's quite annoying.

I have been going to this gym since April when I switched from another gym, and let me tell you, I am SO glad I switched. At first I was hesitant because this gym is significantly bigger and more expensive than my previous gym, but it is EXTREMELY worth it. It is ALWAYS clean, with a beautiful layout and locker rooms. It can get really busy when I go around 5pm, but that's normal and there is DEFINITELY enough to do, from the double set of free weights, ton of machines and enough cables, cross fit section, open classes, card... read more

Mountainside Arrowhead location is ok. Its still new and nice looking. Staff in the open hour is great evening is whatevers but im not there to be thier friend so saying hi or not i could careless. Cleanliness is whatever its a gym its going to get dirty. As long as the bathrooms are clean thats fine. I started out going after work around 1600-1700 but now i refuse to go during that time. It gets ridiculously packed with dumb asses who dont know how to work out, socialize, babysit the machine, on the damn phones while on t... read more

The music is so loud I have to blast my headphones and I can STILL hear the techno/remix playing. The only place to stretch is along a main walkway and amongst equipment that is crammed too close together. Forget about getting a spot during peak times. For the money I pay to workout here I expected a better experience.

I had tried a 5 day free membership early and thought the gym to be pricey but the amenities worthwhile. So I bought my membership at Costco for $109 for 3 months which is still pretty pricey comparatively to LA fitness. Coming in on nice Monday morning at 9 AM to get my membership card but had to wait over 35 minutes just to the card!! I had already paid for it online and the process of input my info and signing my waiver took less than 5 minutes. When I walked in I notice two representatives working at the membership desk.... read more

i love this gym. however i just switched to the arrowhead country club. i can no longer tolerate the terrible music being blasted out of the speakers at mountainside. there is not a single person in this gym that pays to come here to listen to the music they play. serious athletes should not have to blast music out of their own headphones in order to attempt to drown out the commercial nonsense coming out of the speakers. look around the gym. everyone has headphones!!!! some people don't like listening to music when they wor... read more

Mountainside fitness is a fantastic gym! The staff at the arrowhead location are so friendly. I was lucky enough to have Jordan G as my personal trainer. He is by far the best trainer I have worked with! His knowledge of fitness and nutrition is exceptional and he has a great personality! I highly recommend Jordan if anyone is looking for personal training! You will not be disappointed!
