I've been a member of Mountainside Fitness for close to 2 years and this location has got to be the worst. Very unclean and so many of the people here are judgmental and hog the machines! Too many teenagers go here for it to be enjoyable and taken to a serious degree of heath. As a college student, this gym is too expensive for the services it provides and it not worth the money wasted on a careless staff and an unclean environment.

Joined mountainside while I'm here in AZ! Very clean facilities, and organized. Not a lot of mess! The gym is pretty busy but I think that's a good thing! Happy to have a place to go and sweat it out!

I have been here a few times with my nephew. The gym is nice and has a lot of equipment, but the staff is a different story. I was given a hard time for trying to use a free 5-day pass that I had received from a recent 5K I had run. I was told according to their new policy, I was only able to use 1 per calendar year, and I had received one on a prior visit that immediately took effect. Joshua, we are sorry to hear of your experience and understand your frustration. Our staff did correctly state our policy in that a person is allowed to use a 5 day pass one time per calendar year. Given that you did not activate your previous 5 day pass, we should have given you an opportunity to activate on this visit to the club. I really did like mountainside fitness, BUT, they are ridiculously busy. It sucks we don't have more options on my side of town. LA fitness, Planet Fitness and Mountainside are pretty much all we have. It's pretty small considering the amount of people that go there. I am hoping congestion will ease up with the opening of the new Mountainside in January

Da, we understand your frustration. While we do have over 38,000 sq ft of space, our clubs can get busy during peak hours. We do have several options close by with the new North Phoenix/Happy Valley Towne Center location opening very soon and our Peoria location. If your schedule allows and we know that is not always possible for many, we do suggest trying the club on non peak hours to avoid the busier times. I will make this very brief. I was just trying to make a payment with cash. Jamiee Lynn in membership service was assisting me and told me they got new systems so I couldn't pay cash. I needed to have a card on file if I still want to be a member. I was a little skeptical because that just sounds ridiculous. Rather than explain this "new system" as to why they don't take cash anymore or get an understanding of why I want to pay cash she gets in attitude. I like this gym quite a bit and I've been going here for a while but damn can you guys wash the face towels properly it's 2017 it's not a hard task to master. They smell like shit everytime like they're being washed and not dried till 2-3 days later

Marius, we appreciate your sharing your concerns about the towels. We do have industrial washing machines on site at every clubs and wash with a pre-allotment of detergent along with over 10 dry sheets with each load to assure consistency and avoid these types of concerns. We will look at our washer and dryer at this club to make sure everything is working properly and add additional detergent if necessary.
Love my Glendale gym!!! Facilities is super clean and staff is friendly. This pass year I lost 52 pounds through exercising and eating correctly....Thank you Mountainside Fitness for help me reach my goal.
I was a member for over 2 years. I signed a personal training contract. Over the course of the past year I have been through 3 trainers who have quit or who were fired. The trainers were excellent and knowledgable. After the 3rd one left I was fed up with the turnover. I contacted the Arrowhead training manager to be let out of my remaining training sessions. Overall, I can say that I'm pleased. The only thing that I have a problem with, and other friends of mine also mention and complain about is that this gym is consistently hot inside. It seems that they are either trying to conserve their AC units and electricity, or their AC units don't work that great. It's like I'm sweating before even working out.
