I decided to review a few other comments before I wrote this one and will mention that several people have placed some bad reviews on a somewhat bad billing experience (which from their statements seems more like the customer error by not simply scheduling a meeting with the manager) or issues because they don't understand how the parking system works; it seems more petty and personal than professional and these opinions have been received without actually allowing the management their due diligence. Just switched over from LA fitness and I can say that I am extremely happy with the change. It's a quiet place and even the peak hours are not as bad as even the slowest times at LA fitness. Designated parking lot is a plus. It actually smells nice and clean inside. The facility is well maintained. Wonderful locker rooms with steam rooms and beautiful showers. Gym in chase field has improved cleanliness. Manager seems very receptive to feedback. Staff are friendly and attentive. The d backs parking attendant still sucks, but I go to another location during games to avoid the fiasco. On another note, be prepared for random woman that is affiliated with Mountainside to harass you if she does not like your reviews. She's a stalker and either works at Mountainside or knows someone who does (potentially her boyfriend). Scary person!

I've been a member of Mountainside fitness for almost 6 months now. I've always had really good experiences the staff is always very friendly, and the machines work and they're Usually very clean. Only a few times have I had any trouble at all with the machines TV not working but I bring my headphones and listen to music anyways so it's not really something I look for. Love this gym and all the other Mountainsides! The staff is always incredibly kind and helpful. Gym is always clean. When I moved and had to cancel my membership it was easy and painless and I was still able to use the facilities for the remainder of the month. If I move back into the area I will definitely be coming back!

The best hidden gym in town. Located at chase field a smaller non pretentious gym always clean well kept never to busy. Great for us downtown folk and business people who work in the area. Clean showers and dressing rooms. Towels provided. They open at 4:30 am weekdays close 11pm weeknights. If you are one like me who wants to go in for a workout not all the bells and whistles they offer lunch time classes as well as morning classes. Well this is a great location and really pretty, but poorly thought out to be in Arizona. It is extremely hot as there are huge walls of windows and two floors. Don't come here in the summer. In the winter and when it's cooler, it's great. Every time I go to the gym I get physically sick because of the heat and for some reason they can't keep it cool. Bottom line, if you join mountainside fitness and live downtown, you will have to travel to work out when it's warm out.

I was moving away from this location. I needed to cancel my membership. I walked in to cancel during my normal gym time (early AM), but they weren't able to, someone else had to be there to do it (manager maybe, I wasn't quite sure). But okay - no big deal. I call later that week because I'm having a hard time getting in when the manager is there; hoping I can just do this over the phone. Nope - I need to come in. Again, okay not a big deal.
