Mountainside Fitness is a great gym chain in the valley and the Happy Valley location is the best one I've been to. The gym staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful and the facility itself is always clean. The classes that I've been to here have all been challenging, engaging and, dare I say, "fun"?! I love that my monthly membership gets me access to any valley location! Other gyms you have to pay a LOT extra for that perk. I pay $35/month and it's been well-worth it. Love this gym!

It is very unfortunate, what Mountainside Fitness is doing to their customers. I spoke with Mountainside to Cancel my membership, which a representative confirmed. However, despite of them stating it is not a contract, calling them to cancel is not in their policy and you must go in. This was in March, when COVID pandemic hit. Therefore, I did not go in. Membership services is a big fraud over here. When they reopened center in May/June, I have requested to cancel my membership on phone, and I was advised to come in person. I visited center, requested cancellation due to COVID cases growing in AZ. I have been told my account can be kept on hold with no charge until I decide to return, I accepted for that. Disappointed. I stopped in back in June after being debited for monthly fee of around $85. I was a little shocked because gyms had all been closed and I have not been getting billed. I found out the gyms re-opened but I did not receive notice that I was about to get charged nor had been to the gym in months. I stopped in to cancel my membership. SOMEONE DELETED MY REVIEW. INTERESTING. I canceled membership in February 2020 and was advised that would be the last payment. Come June, my card is attempted everyday and declined. I call June 8th, left a message and woman returned call 20 min later. "You don't owe anything I'm not sure why you're seeing that. If it happens to go through let us know and we'll refund it. I joined last spring. Loved it. Great classes and facilities. I frequented 3 of their gyms. 5 stars. But my review now isn't 5 stars and here is why. COVID hit. That sucks. I get it, things right now are crazy. It must be really challenging to have a gym and reopening during this crisis. I don't want to criticize. Indeed, I haven't gone back. This gym plays their music super loud especially in the cardio area. Hard on the ears. It's impossible to hear your own head phone music or watch the TV. I have make management aware with no change. Just turn the volume down!!!!

This gym just reopened since the Covid-19 pandemic. Myself and husband are both members. We went in today just to see what safety precautions they are taking, of course being excited to get back to the gym. When I asked the staff about the precautions they were taking, they both were staring at me with no masks on and asked us if we were members. Equipment, Layout, Building all adequate. What makes this place 5 Star is the cleanliness and the staff. Joanne, Paige, Joseph and the morning crew are absolutely outstanding people. Always greet you with a smile, have a chat and provide old school customer service. Many of the patrons are friendly and cool as well. Moved out of the area but I endorse this gym. VERY CLEAN, towels never smelled, showers never smelled, always free of scum, toilet area always clean. Jeff Herb
