This vet saved my cat's life, and my bank account. After having been extremely disappointed with the "service" I was finding elsewhere for my very sick cat, and needing to find the least expensive but best treatment possible, I ended up finding the answers at this vet hospital. Dr. Hagler is wonderful, and so obviously cares about the animals he treats. He is so thorough and attentive, and he, unlike other vets, did not just try to get my money. These people are honest and kind. Can't recommend them enough!!
My Mom has taken the family cats there for many years. Our oldest (16 years, 7 months) was recently feeling ill. Dr. Hagler gave my Mom the bad news in a straightforward, but caring manner. An employee named Hope was also very compassionate. Snippy was put down at home yesterday by a mobile vet we use. My Mom then called Mt. Diablo to tell them Snippy had died. Today, a beautiful flower arrangement was delivered to the house. Mt. Diablo is truly one of a kind.
Compassionate, Professional, Caring I can't say enough about the veterinarians and staff at Mt. Diablo Vet. Center. Our 2 cats (now 16 years old) and 2 dogs have been in their care since we moved to Lafayette 11 years ago. When our previous dog became ill with kidney disease, Dr. Sundstrom showed me how to give him an IV so that we could help prolong his life. Have had multiple pets here for years and now that I have a new kitten, no appointments until November 18th. Since the Drs and Debbie left it's been kind of impersonal and hard to get appointments but I get 450 emails to buy stuff without pause. A bit miffed that my loyalty hasn't transcended.

Terrible. Turned away a sick dog because I was 10mins late. I've had to wait over 45 mins for previous appointments with no complaint. Horrible people!!! STAY AWAY!!!!

After taking my dog to Mt. Diablo Vet clinic for multiple years, I decided to make a change when it seemed the clinic was more interested in driving billings than caring for my pet. Although my dog is fully up to date on all vaccines and in very good health, the clinic has peppered me with postcards and emails telling me the dog must come in for a physical. I wish I could give a zero. I made an appointment one month ago by phone to get my cat a check up. I show up the day of my appointment scheduled for them to tell me I didn't have an appointment. Not sure how this happened but they need to figure it out because this is unacceptable and a waste of time and tiering for my cat just to not even get looked at.

they are good and very thorough. however i do not take my cat here for standard procedures like yearly checkup, vaccines, etc., anymore because he is labeled as a 'problem cat' now which means they will only allow us to take him in the morning (which is not convenient/possible for us) even for routine stuff. he got labelled this because he had an object stuck in his eye and was (understandably) defensive to having the vet poke around in his eye to get it out, so he had to be sedated. fair enough. i know vets deal with aggres... read more
9/13/21 I called the office and spoke w/Sherri (?) to inquire if my puppy needed additional or updated vaccines. I provided the dates, and she replied my dog was overdue for vaccines since it's 2021. I said wait...this is 2021 and he had vaccines in May when I adopted him from the shelter. I brought him into your office on June 18th and provided you with that information during his checkup.
