I'm glad to know that there is such a great vet practice here in Lafayette! After taking my cats to one of the other vets in town, it was obvious from the first visit that they were very professional and knew what they were doing. I love the fact that the office is very clean and quiet and you have the feeling that you are the only client that they are focused on when you are there. Definitely great if you want a place that is organized and a staff that is polite and knowledgeable! Best place in town!

Dr Hagler is an extraordinary veterinarian. Talented, kind, and passionate about his work, I cannot imagine a better vet for my family's beloved pets. Eight years ago, my labrador retriever was poisoned by snail bait from a neighbors garden. I had no idea that she had eaten something while we were walking and so did not know she had been poisoned until she went into convulsions. Our border collie got a UTI while we were on vacation, and needed a follow up visit after completing his dose of antibiotics. Our pet sitter happens to be a vet at ARF, and she recommended we go here and see Dr. Mattingly. The clinic itself is nice, and kept clean. Dr. Mattingly was great, and took care of the tests needed to do our pup's check up.She also advised us on some other issues, and was very helpful. This vet saved my cat's life, and my bank account. After having been extremely disappointed with the "service" I was finding elsewhere for my very sick cat, and needing to find the least expensive but best treatment possible, I ended up finding the answers at this vet hospital. Dr. Hagler is wonderful, and so obviously cares about the animals he treats. He is so thorough and attentive, and he, unlike other vets, did not just try to get my money. These people are honest and kind. Can't recommend them enough!!

My Mom has taken the family cats there for many years. Our oldest (16 years, 7 months) was recently feeling ill. Dr. Hagler gave my Mom the bad news in a straightforward, but caring manner. An employee named Hope was also very compassionate. Snippy was put down at home yesterday by a mobile vet we use. My Mom then called Mt. Diablo to tell them Snippy had died. Today, a beautiful flower arrangement was delivered to the house. Mt. Diablo is truly one of a kind.

Compassionate, Professional, Caring I can't say enough about the veterinarians and staff at Mt. Diablo Vet. Center. Our 2 cats (now 16 years old) and 2 dogs have been in their care since we moved to Lafayette 11 years ago. When our previous dog became ill with kidney disease, Dr. Sundstrom showed me how to give him an IV so that we could help prolong his life. I brought my dachshunds here for five years. I was never that impressed by them, but the care was fine for vaccines and routine check ups. The vet techs are very nice. I thought if my dogs ever had a serious health issue I would get a second opinion. Last month one of my dogs developed difficulty with walking. I called mid-day and explained what was going on with my dog and the receptionist offered me an appointment the next day at 10 am. Have had multiple pets here for years and now that I have a new kitten, no appointments until November 18th. Since the Drs and Debbie left it's been kind of impersonal and hard to get appointments but I get 450 emails to buy stuff without pause. A bit miffed that my loyalty hasn't transcended.

Terrible. Turned away a sick dog because I was 10mins late. I've had to wait over 45 mins for previous appointments with no complaint. Horrible people!!! STAY AWAY!!!!
