We have been taking our dog to Mt. Diablo Vet for past five years. The are compassionate, understanding. I love Dr. Hagler's level headed approach to your pets well being. They don't push any unnecessary procedures or treatments. The staff are all very warm and professional. They make you feel special by showing a genius interest in your pet.

Amos died yesterday peacefulky at hone but he lived six plus good extra months thanks to Mount Diablo Veterinary. He lived long enough for us to bring home a little Samoyed girl puppy to comfort the brother he has left behind. Amos met his sister and we have a nice picture of the three of them I will try and post. Very grateful for this sweet ending for our boy.

We just rescued a couple of kittens.Laverne and Shirley.and are looking for a vet when they need shots.I own a carpet cleaning service and Marilyn called us to clean their office last week..When we got there everyone seemed really happy and helpful.Being in the Cleaning Business I was very impressed with how clean and organized the front and back were.After speaking to Marilyn I thought she was very professional and was a lady of integrity and she will have my business.Thank's for working with animals who need help.

Dr. Hagler and the rest of the staff are great! They are patient with me and my cats -- they take the time to explain everything, and they know that my old cats are just scared when they hiss and growl at them and don't take it personally. Their follow up is awesome and I know that my cats are getting great care!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Hagler and his staff. Our family has been bringing our animals here for at least 20 years now. We have come here for routine care, traumas, infections, allergies, cancers, and swallowing all kinds of foreign matter, to name a few. They have consistently delivered expert, compassionate care to our animals. And to us. I can't imagine taking my animals anywhere else. They are top-notch and I highly recommend them.

I have been a customer of Dr. Hagler and associates for over 14 years. My golden lived a long a happy life and was so well cared for until the very end and my cat is almost 19! Our two new goldens love their visits - which to me is one of the best tests of a vet. If there is a crisis and they are swamped, they still figure out a way to help. Concur with other posters, they are very professional. Only thing to add is that if you do anything out of the ordinary, I suspect you will pay a pretty large % more than clinics that aren't in as affluent a town as Lafayette. For example, a spay is a fairly simple procedure. At a highly rated clinic outside of Lafayette, the total cost is $277. At Mt Diablo? $820. (You can do a spay for as little as $150, btw.) When I first moved back to Lafayette I needed a vet ... well, *I* didn't but my pooch did. I thought this was the same vet that my family used growing up but it wasn't. At first I was a little disappointed, but then quickly realized I was super happy I made the mistake!! Both Dr. Hagler and Dr. Mattingly are GREAT!!! The office staff is wonderful too! Dr. Hagler is a wonderful vet. He explains everything carefully (even if he has to do it more than once!). He kept my very ill cat going for a long time, but unfortunately we ultimately lost him. We received flowers and a nice note from them. Minus one star for not offering us a less expensive option for dealing with our beloved kitty's remains. I highly recommend this vet. He is thorough, conscientious, and patient.
