When booking the hotel I was looking forward to the spa option and the hot tub that were mentioned in the description. When we arrived and went to use these amenities they were closed due to COVID, there was no indication on the website of these being closed. Also when we checked into our hotel the concierge only gave us information about where the elevators were and our room key. No other information was given to us. Once we went into our room the shower had black hairs on the shower wall, which made us uneven about how wel... read more
Glad we only stayed one night Hotel was updated but it was obvious that the room was not vacuumed and the old sheets on the bed had a hole in them.
This hotel is overrated. Expensive with NO service. Three day stay and never saw any cleaning people. The same trash people had placed outside their rooms sat there for the whole tine we were there. The sheets and maytress cover didnt fit the beds and popped off every nght so the mattress was exposed. One towel for three days that didnt dry inbetween usage and needed rto ask for more. Your room was not made up unless you asked for it. At $269 a night that is ridiculous! Only thing it has going for it was location for our nee... read more
This hotel is named, MYSTIC but it is no where near the attractions. Mystic Seaport and Mystic Village are 2 exits away on highway. It was very $$ 433 for one night. It was not worth it. The room was very average, clean yes but nothing spectacular. I will not stay again
We booked this hotel for a family weekend away because the rooms looked big, they had “free rollaway beds” and they had an indoor pool and hot tub. After check in, we learned roll away beds weren’t allowed in the rooms due to a fire hazard, so we decided to use the pull out bed instead. After many calls to housekeeping, our sheets arrived FILTHY and covered in hair. Absolutely unacceptable. Our room only had 2 towels, so I called for more—which arrived and had make up stains on them. Then we went to the pool, which had cloud... read more
I stayed here before- several years ago- and loved it, hence why I stayed this recent time. Worst. Decision. Ever. The bed had a wine or blood stain on the duffet- which we had house cleaners change- it was also on the mattress. The bed was so hard my boyfriend barely slept during our two night stay. Our 2nd night was the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. Kids screaming and crying loudly from across the hall until midnight. Teens or younger adults were using the hallway as a common area- yelling, swearing throughout... read more
This was literally the worst stay ever. When you spend over 300 dollars a night for a room there is a certain quality that is expected. This was not the case at this marriot. My family and I travel often and enjoy a hotel experience, but we will not be coming back to this hotel again. To start the first room we were given was disgusting food crushed on the floor, smashed chocolate or something, cheerios under the bed ect... needless to say we asked to be moved to another room. This room was 75 degrees on a warm day. We turne... read more
Everything closed so early, even room service at 9pm. After a long day sight seeing cou ki dnt even get a glass of wine to unwind. 2nd night bought my own bottle bar would not give me a glass, against policy, had to use a plastic one, which is just not the same. No room service because of covid, they dont tell you this prior to staying. Hot tub closed due to covid. You had to sign up for a swim due to covid...why bother open! Rooms are small for such a huge hotel in the middle of nowhere. Would NOT stay there again, too far ... read more
