Good morning Jeffrey, thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. The $89 is our standard diagnostic fee for service calls. Reviewing your account, we were verifying availability of the part at a vendor, and called the number we have on file and left you a message on May 14th to schedule. I can cancel the job if you'd like, unless you'd like to proceed. Please let me know and I'm happy to assist. Thank you -
Pros: They did respond quickly and came out the same day I called. Hans the guy installing the water heater was nice. Cons: probably my fault for not checking around but the MARKUP was outrageous. I wasn't given the model number until they were installing the water heater and when I looked it up online the cost of the heater was $767.00. This company charged me $1685.00 PLUS a $79 service fee!!! Wow. So the cost of the labor was much more than the water heater itself..as a female I kinda feel taken advantage of. This was an ... read more

They came out yesterday and ever since they left the AC has not stopped running, very little air flow and charged me $300 to straight some duct work. The duct work is worse now. They want another $80 service charge to come out and look at it. There are many other HVAC companies there, avoid this one. This is their way of straightening it.
I would have really preferred to give a glowing and stellar review, but disappointedly, I can’t. Finding decent service in the HVAC community is as iffy as finding decent service at a car garage nowadays it seems. I scheduled for an annual service call. They sent a young man out, very nice young man, but he had hardly any experience. He found a wire that had melted the wire connector. I would expect a seasoned technician to at least do some preliminary troubleshooting. this young technician simply took a picture, texted i... read more

I am the owner at Norfolk Air and I am going to explain here what I tried to explain to you last week over the phone. Our HVAC team is comprised of 1.) highly experienced technicians whom we send out for repairs, and 2.) cleaners – individuals who are well trained to service systems by cleaning and identifying potential issues that are in need of repair. As we all had to start somewhere in our professions, our cleaners receive in-depth training both at trade school and by following our seasoned mechanics. Think of Jiffy Lube... read more
Three visits, three different technicians, no fix. The first technician , Chris came out on 9/25/19. He tested our unit and said we likely had a water coil leak and recommended a sales person for a new unit because a repair is approximately $4k. He said they were slow at the time so we would have bargaining power. We had another contractor look at the unit on 9/26. He stated the compressor was shot. My husband called Brandon, the manager at Norfolk Air. He said he would send a different tech out. Nate came on 9/27 and concur... read more
Just wanted to share a story with the neighborhood. Norfolk Heating & Air is pulling a real number on us currently. On Friday a technician from their company determined that our HVAC compressor had failed due to faulty installation. He then asked us who had done the work and I reminded him that HIS company did the work in November 2018. He then proceeded to tell me that Norfolk Heating & Air would take care of it for us, new compressor and no charge for labor. So... today another tech from Norfolk Air tells us that the origi... read more
The law of unintended consequences. After assembling the bunk beds in the spare bedroom in anticipation of the grandchildren’s visit this summer, we discovered that the ceiling fan was dangerously close to the top bunks. Seeking to avoid a messy decapitation, I called Norfolk Air to move the fan over 18 inches, out of the danger zone. Problem solved. Disaster averted. Neisheeka was pleasant and extremely competent. Thank you, Norfolk Air, for saving the day - and more importantly- for saving the vacation at Nana’s house t... read more

had arranged to have my water heater replaced and had also signed up for a 73 dollar a month service plan. The employees arrived an hour late. My wife took off work. They were supposed to be here at 8 they showed up around 9. It turns out that they had brought a replacement hot water heater 21 inches in diameter. My attic door is 20.5 inches. No one had bothered to measure the attic door width. Rather than get a smaller diameter water heater or offer us that option, they then decided that in order to get the water heater t... read more
From the very first phone call this company stood out , Brandon came out first to do the service check, his honesty was appreciated, which in turn brought out Tyler, he explained all our options, the next step in this journey was the team and yes I mean team, I can't remember all their names, but, these guys nailed it, they had to literally work under our house all day, still they remained professional and courteous, not only did they clean up after themselves, they cleaned up the hot mess another contractor left. So, if eve... read more
