The patio searing was ok, however it was very windy and dark. Food was not good. Food service was very slow. My husband ordered the 2 quail special and there was a-bite of quail.. the rest stuffing. Their prices were way too high for the quality of food. The servers were very polite. We will probably not go back.
It is very difficult to get outdoor seating during Covid and I was grateful to get a reservation, even if it was 8:15 p.m. However, nowhere did it mention or was I told that this would be a prefix menu @ $75 pp. It was cold and wet on the outdoor deck. My spouse wasn't thrilled with the prefix menu option nor did we want such a full meal that late in the evening. Parking was very difficult and it was dark. The restaurant is at the top of the harbor, not down in the harbor where the other restaurants are so there is no view of the bridge or ocean. But it is nice view of the harbor with the boats tied up. The outdoor dining during COVID is fine. There were nice lights and the patio had heaters but weren't even needed till after 9pm the night we went. The service was very slow. Took a long while to get welcomed and get drink order taken. Service was great, the appetizer we had was good (Caprese). Sadly, the short ribs were very dry and not flavorful, everything was soaked in butter/grease, literally swimming in it. We also tried the fish special but it was also very greasy. Would recommend for drinks and an app but not dinner.
We had reservations. We were seated after half an hour, which we understood as people didn’t want to leave it was so beautiful out. We were finally seated and the hostess left. Had to go get a server after another 20 plus minutes waiting. Our server had an attitude and it seemed we were inconvenienced her from the beginning. We were on time to celebrate a birthday dinner, and we’re seated. Waited about 15 min to order drinks, then another 20 to order an appetizer. We waited about 15 more minutes and our server asked if we wanted anything else. I told her that our reservation was for a birthday dinner, she seemed surprised and said she’d get dinner menus. The salad dressing was so wrong and watery. I only found half of a cherry tomato on the salad. For $32.00 I had one shrimp, one scallop and four little bay shrimp on my dish, and lots of pasta. My wife dish was filled with green, curry sauce, I am not sure about it.
The food was very bad. Lamb was overcooked to medium well and the bread pudding tasted like raw eggs. The service and ambience was wonderful.
