I was traveling by myself and was trying to stick to a budget. It was my first time in Cancun and my first time in Mexico so I picked the Hotel Zone. The Ocean Spa resort was very safe. As a single woman I was not concerned for my safety at all at the facility, on the beach or walking in the area. There were lots of friendly tourists and families. This has a nice family atmosphere. The food was good, all the staff were very helpful and it was very clean. We did not get sick eating the food or drinking the water. We ocean water was a bit murky so we didn’t swim there but took the shuttle to other beaches. Note: it did cost more upon check in than Expedia had listed (17000 mxn instead of 10000)

This a smaller and older property, but is really a gem! The staff couldn’t be any nicer! The food choices are great and can’t say there was ever a bad meal. Very relaxing time!
